Japans Elderly Crime Wave
Japans Elderly Crime Wave
The Japanese are the hardest working people in the world and they now have nothing to live on.

Re: Japans Elderly Crime Wave
Japan is Awesome compared to elderly Americans who are too stupid and way too weak.
They should go to f***ing jail! They get free food there!

Jonny Law: What are you, insane? These people should GO to jail to get free food? For f**k's sake- at least ROBBING the jail makes sense!

According to the Article you were too stupid or illiterate to read:
"Some 70 percent of the elderly crimes, according to a government white paper written in 2012, were acts of shoplifting by impoverished pensioners."
Don't work = Don't Eat
Jail = Free Food
Like you Wolfeye I believe America the elderly would be too weak. I believe they would just starve to death and die without the government's welfare.
Re: Japans Elderly Crime Wave
If the proud people of Japan are stooping to petty crime to make ends meet, imagine what these spoiled, over-medicated, self-indulged Baby Boomers would do if they have to miss a meal? You may see them hooking and whoring, robbing and stealing, and killing for peanut butter and dog food.
Re: Japans Elderly Crime Wave
Jonny Law: Where are you getting that I believe that? I don't figure that's untrue, but where are you getting it from? Also- how am I illiterate AND reading your post to orient a response to it? By the way: jail doesn't necessarily equal free food. It could just be starvation in a building. What are they going to do if they cut the food off? Escape? Maybe, but maybe not.
Rocky Top: Good point. I always heard about "putting food on the table" as some dire concept, but I don't remember any of them really skipping meals. Maybe working through lunch or putting dinner off until 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning, but never outright going without it. I don't remember it being a situational thing or a personal challenge. It might be that they heard so much about how everyone else in the world is an asshole & the "horrible" way they all constantly live, then got worried about it. Possibly as much as a status symbol as anything else- which is a bit severe, when you consider it. Food being as much or even more of an ego thing than a sustanence thing?
