The thing is that the bad guys have layers of security. If you want to make an alternative to Patreon you need the cooperation of PayPal and Stripe, which will be denied. If you set up an alternative to them, you will need the cooperation of Visa and MasterCard, which will be denied. Unless you are a billionaire you can't go beyond that because the banking industry is internationally regulated.

I know you are thinking that I am a whining loser who just doesn't want to do anything, but with some things I have investigated them and they are just not viable. Most good things are not viable at this time. However, I will look at this again and make an assessment. If it seems viable I will be prepared to risk many thousands of dollars on it and would be grateful for your help.

Gab revealed themselves to be hypocritical scum when they banned Weev for essentially repeating JFK’s statement of “If you make peaceful revolution impossible you make violent revolution inevitable”. They then banned various other people for various stupid reasons, such as that they advocated the legalisation of having sex with currently underaged girls. I did some more research and it seems that you are right. The Right would need to rebuild everything from the bottom up. I think this is possible, but it is a lot of work.

As the guy in the video says, I don't get the point of Patreon. It would make more sense to link to a web page with a PayPal button on it.
