How Rich People Think

Post by Jester »

This was interesting.

And sobering.

Even iof you don't LIKE what it says, and you HATE rich people, remember the old Roman saying: It is righteousness to learn from one's enemy.

(And there is a lot here that I need to learn.)

The usual Kiyosaki gibberish. Much like the loonier PUA tracts, I can't believe anyone takes this crap seriously.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

Could you expand on that?

Why yes, I can indeed.

When I said this, I actually had you in mind.

Beacuse, you know, when I finally read "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" (at the time I read it I believed it was White Freemasons talking to other White Freemasons in a code that used Jews as a foil, another discussion), when I first read it, I realized it was CLEARLY an authentic transcript of real psychopaths dispensing their wisdom to their accolytes...... AND I saw how much of the description contained therein of "gentiles" was dead-on accurate. WHOEVER the oligarchs are, they really DO see as gullible cattle. ONE solution is, you know, rope and lampposts etc., but ANOTHER solution would be to STOP BEING GULLIBLE CATTLE.

That article is interesting, but sounds New Ageish and oversimplifies everything. The rich are not rich just because they had the right thoughts or mentality. There are many other factors that go into it as well, most of which are outside of your mind and outside of your control.

Some wealthy people inherited their wealth. Or they got lucky. Or they had help from others. Or they saved and invested wisely. Or a combination of circumstances happened that made them rich. Etc.

Yes, the right thoughts help. But thoughts do not determine everything. This sounds too much like that law of attraction garbage that says "you can do anything if you put your mind to it" blah blah.

Wouldn't 98% of the world's population call most of you guys rich?

Lots of people get help from others.
Most of them never get rich.

Lots of people inherit.
Most heirs piss it away.

The reason some people are rich is pretty simple. The world is a global Soviet-style police state and the entities running the show apportion resources as they see fit. Within that context, where the rulers don't care one way or the other, a number of factors come into play, but mostly luck. For example, the article mentions Gina Rinehart. She is rich because she inherited money from her father. He was rich because one day he was flying across the desert and had to fly lower than he wanted to avoid thunderclouds. While doing so he noticed the sand was a strange color. He impulsively bought the mining rights to that patch of desert and it turned out to be the largest iron ore deposit in the world. There is no separate, mystical mental process needed to explain any of this.

Couple practical places to start:
Millionaire Mind (Stanley) & Millionaire Next Door (Stanley & Danko).

Add to that -- crowd funding (double-plus-thirsty-simp-funds if your project is video promoted by a pretty girl), 3-D printing, open source software, cheap shipping and communications, and many other tools not available to previous generations plus your OWN unique idea/talent/work ethic and you have the makings of a good (if not lavish) life for yourself and family.

Most of your would-be competition isn't going to manufacture anything other than excuses...
Whitey, affirmative action, teh jooz.

Amen.

Thanks for the constructive comment.

Leaving the US, and going on a fast from news and Facebook, has really helped me focus on achieving, rather than railing and bemoaning.

Stop being angry at the stuff you don't have (yet) in life and instead focus on how to get it.
