Impact of Milesianism on Social Life.
I have been reading the City in History, and I have to say, it is an awesome read. In it they discuss the introduction of the grid iron system of building, and how it got transferred to the New World. When I was in Boston, it seemed like the water front was not as swayed by this notion, but as you got inland, it became more apparent. How do you think this developed, and how do you think this contrasts with more organic cities? Do you think many areas have richer culture because it is not forced and is organic in nature? Thoughts?
