Most people prefer their own kind. I'm sure the NYT could find plenty of Asians who don't feel welcome in predominantly black neighborhoods and write a story about that. I don't think Asians who have had their businesses burned down, vandalized, robbed, or boycotted by blacks feel very welcome. I don't think the blacks who have fled east LA because they were being targeted by Latino gangs felt very welcome either. But, of course, in the PC narrative only whites can be racist.
