Las Vegas Sucks! The most antisocial unfriendly toxic place!

Last weekend I went to this big community resort with a huge swimming pool in my Aunt's neighborhood in Las Vegas. It was very luxurious. The weekend prior, I took Rock there and we enjoyed laying out by the pool and watching the people there.

The thing is, there were tons of people at the pool. They were mostly upper middle class families with moms and teenage girls. Every girl was either too young or with a boyfriend or partner. Everyone had an ice wall around them. There was no talking to strangers. It was kind of depressing and sad to see that. I can't get used to that. It's so sick.

What's sick is how you can be around so many people in a nice recreational environment, yet none of them want to talk to you. Everyone has this antisocial toxic vibe and cold wall around them that is very uninviting. It's really sick. How do people tolerate that? How do people see that as normal? It's disgusting and NOT normal at all.

Out in public, I get this feeling like everyone wants to get away from me and I want to get away from them too. It's a very negative energy field and 100 percent antisocial. It's very bad and toxic. I can't get used to it at all. I don't know how others do. How can anyone see that as normal?!

Las Vegas seems to be one of the most ANTISOCIAL places in the world, and definitely one of the most antisocial places I've ever been to. All talk here is purely BUSINESS ONLY. The locals are the most UNFRIENDLY people I've ever experienced. YUCK!!! And when you look at a girl, she never looks back at you. When you smile, she doesn't see it. All the girls have that "don't approach me" vibe and look, which you can feel.

Even the Happier Abroaders that live here, such as MarkLambo, never want to meet up or always have excuses when you ask them to meet up. He wouldn't even meet up with Rock when he was here. So antisocial and no fun at all. MarkLambo isn't the type of friend you can just call up anytime and hang out with, like the friends on Seinfeld do. In fact, he told me that all his friends schedule appointments with him weeks in advance! lol. WTF? I guess Las Vegas turns people to shit, including the guys in our movement. So you gotta wonder whether guys like MarkLambo are really one of us or not. He's not as cool or open to hanging out as the other Happier Abroaders I've met are, or as most of my friends are. Also, Vegascook, who posts here sometimes, is always too busy with his job to meet up. So even the HAers here are not that social.

It's really sick how antisocial and negative it is here in Las Vegas. The social scene is the most unfriendly and antisocial I've ever experienced. The vibe is filled with very unfriendly social energy, and everywhere you go, no one talks to you unless it's business related. Only cashiers and waitresses will greet you as they do "business" with you. Rock joked with me sarcastically about it, remarking that the waitresses were so friendly and engaging. lol And in fact, they were the only ones that talked to us.

It's really sick and disgusting to experience this everyday. It's so God damn f***ing ANTISOCIAL! I swear. All talk here is BUSINESS ONLY! Yuck! How do people put up with it? It's crazy. I wonder how MarkLambo tolerates it. The vibe here is the most UNFRIENDLY I've ever experienced. Everyone is in a bubble and has a cold ice wall around them. The vibe in Vegas sucks. It feels permeated by dark energy beings. I don't even like to go out in Vegas. It feels so icky and gross, the vibe I mean. Totally 1000 percent ANTISOCIAL too. YUCK!!!

I simply can't get used to this kind of antisocial vibe. It's really disgusting and toxic and feels poisonous. How can people be like this? Whenever I go out, the vibe feels very negative, like everyone wants to get away from me and I in turn, feel like I want to get away from them too! It's really disgusting, worse than you can imagine. The energy field here is extremely NEGATIVE!

Las Vegas is not like the whole USA though. In Arizona and New Mexico, people were far more relaxed and friendly and would smile at strangers more. The vibe there was cliquish too, but not as toxic or antisocial as Las Vegas.

The thing is, after experiencing a friendly positive dynamic social vibe in Russia and Europe, and in the Philippines too, I just can't get used to the negative antisocial vibe in America anymore. I can't re-adjust to it or get used to it. It's like once you experience real SOCIAL FREEDOM, you can never be happy going back to a prison again, like you have here in the US, and especially in Las Vegas.

I've heard from people before that they knew of people who went to Europe and coming back to the US, were never truly happy again. Their hearts never returned to the US and never left Europe. I can understand why now.

I can't see how you can ever get used to that stupid antisocial ice wall in America again after you've lived abroad in countries that are not like that. Once you've been free abroad, you can never be truly happy in the US again, even if you pretend to be or act like you are.

but how is the girlfriend experience i heard some say its lousy? Also how are the regular women there? can someone do online dating or they not open to that in tijuana too much compared to philippines? do any know english if you do online dating in mexico?

Las Vegas is also depressing because it's an "all-man" city with a shortage of women, just like a lot of cities in the Western US (it's mostly the western cities where it's particularly a sausage fest, especially in Maleifornia).

Sure the gf experience is lousy. No place in the world offers everything. Some places are good for a night of fun, and others are good for finding your dream girl.

i was just in Vegas last month. I was shocked at how expensive and how much of a ripoff everything was. Vegas used to be cheap. Now it is like NYC prices.

i googled the spearmint rhino, but read that it is tourist prices.

However, at the same time i'm pretty sure that vegas has some great local places and nights and LOTS of strip clubs.

As far as pools go, Vegas has the biggest pools in the country. Visit the strip and there are extremely fancy pools, but it will cost some and as we all know Winston is really cheap.

If you can swing it, move to Texas. Texas is cheap(er), more laid back and much closer to the heart of Mexico than California.

Or move to an area with a decent latino population like New Mexico. Latinos are laid back and friendly. Even in parts of Los Angeles.

I am not cheap. I don't like ripoff prices. I'm willing to pay for value. This pool at my aunt's community resort though, was free for me because I'm a member there. There are free pools on the strip too, such as at the Flamingo.

The point is, the social vibe is VERY VERY VERY antisocial and unfriendly, the worst I've ever experienced. There is also a dark spiritual energy there too. Dark forces definitely dominate the place and possess many people there. You get this feeling like everyone hates you and you hate them in return. It's very disgusting!

Why would I want to move to Texas or New Mexico? Going abroad is way better. I don't have to stay in the US. I've been to New Mexico. Yeah it's more friendly there, but all the girls seem to be taken there too. If I talk to them, they will all tell me that they have a boyfriend, are not looking, or something else. Every hot girl there is with a guy.

Both are bad. But Bellingham drivers are nicer and do not honk at you or treat the road like a race track. Bellingham also has beautiful nature and coastline and fresh alpine air. The excitement of a big city is all look and flashy lights. You overrate it.

- i would avoid moving to Las Vegas from Albuquerque for several reasons. The only entertainment there is just casinos and nightclubs; it's antisocial like you mentioned, and every girl there is taken with a bunch of extra guys left over since there's more men than women in Las Vegas. Also, cost of living is ridiculously high in Vegas.

- I don't know how anyone can tolerate such weather, Las Vegas is hot as f**k. Not as hot as Death Valley, Dubai or Qatar, but still hot. Also, it has been ranked in the top 5 of America's dumbest cities, and I think at one point, not sure if this is still the case, it ranked in the top 5 of America's most dangerous cities. All of those have to, in some way, factor in to Las Vegas sucking. Even the airport sucks. There is this "get out of my way" attitude from everyone, and they run or walk furiously fast to their departure gates, like a swarm of bees. You're screwed once you disembark from your plane or walk into the airport because everyone is making a mad dash to get somewhere. You can't even enjoy the airport slot machines during a layover there because there is the sense of feeling rushed and the fear that you're going to get run over, even on your way to the newsstand or restaurant. Yeah, I know it's an airport, and those things are to be expected, but I've never seen or felt that kind of vibe at all of the other airports I've been in.

- About being anti-social and "unavailable" to meet up, that is to be expected in a lot of places, especially the USA, but I think California and Vegas lead the way and set the tone in being anti-social, unavailable and being fake. I once read that a lot of people who live in Vegas, are from SoCal, so if you feel that fake, plastic vibe based on the locals just wanting to talk business, that is probably why. Southern Californians who moved to Vegas undoubtedly brought their superficial materialism with them. So, in a way, Vegas is a spin-off of LA. Getting back to the anti-social and unavailable part, it happens in dating in the US, too. I'm sure we've all had the unfortunate experience of getting stood up, but some just rationalize, and usually at the last minute, why they "can't make it." The excuses are amazing and at the same time pathetic. But even friends do that and when they continually "flake," it makes you question if they really are your friends. For example, I once got a firm commitment from someone who I thought was a friend, to help me move on my moving day. I notified him well in advance and he even put it in his phone's calendar. Moving day arrived and he was nowhere to be found. I never spoke to him again. Ironically, in just about all the times I've ever moved, I've had to do the majority of the lifting and moving and use a small select group to help me because the majority the people I know or have known, are and have been unreliable. They're either in such poor physical shape that they can't even lift an iPod, or they're lazy and selfish as hell.

- Even dubai is 10 times better than vegas, the only problem with dubai, since it's a muslim dominated society, you can't get punani or strip-club action(even though I'm muslim too). But people from there are more friendly. In America, only the richest benefit just like the illuminati pyramid is setup, the rich get everything, but the poor or middle-class don't get jack shit.

- The reason Vegas is so anti social, everyone there almost is a transplant from somewhere else. There is no Community in general in the USA, but in a place like Vegas there is no community period. You get a sense of community from having buildings that are centuries old, that people feel connected to, and want to be around. Vegas is the poster child for the cluster f**k the USA has become.
