This may sound crazy but do scientists and engineers gather in pubs and the like and discuss mathematics, engineering, etc? Like not superficial level but deep mathematical and engineering topics, design, etc?
Yes of course. If they work in the same universities or are colleagues then they will hang out and talk deep stuff. They have their cliques too. Like attracts like. Not engineers necessarily, they are just technical workers. Im talking about physics and stuff on the cutting edge. People who are seeking answers to the nature of reality. Why are you asking this?

Update:

Rock is in Amsterdam now. He went to Belgium too. He says that I was right, that Europe does have a good vibe that feels nice and soulful and down to earth. People are also real and upfront, with no BS politeness like in Asia. He said Amsterdam felt very free and open, like you could do anything. He said I would like it there. Like I said, Europe has more old soul types like me, that are more mature and down to earth, soulwise that is. So it fits me better. And there is no cold wall between people like in America or Taiwan, so talking to strangers does not feel awkward or unnatural.

Also my close Venetian friend Alex said that regardless of whether I can date girls in Italy or not, that I would probably fit into Italian culture well, much more than American or Taiwanese culture at least.

So I don't know why Publicduende was so poo hoo about Europe. But he's just one man with one opinion, not God. And one very arrogant man at that. I can find many other men who say different things, even in Europe. Plus it was stupid and fallacious for PD to presume that all of Europe is like London or that London represents all of Europe. Very stupid indeed. I'm surprised anyone could be that dumb and not even see it or correct himself. Very weird.

Will you prioritize visiting Europe?

I am in Northern Europe now and GloboHomo and SJW culture are catching on here fast. America is the pinnacle of the West and as goes America, so goes the rest of the West.

I dated a Dutch girl in Tokyo last year and she was also infected by the groupthink albeit to a lesser degree than an American girl. It was like she was annoyed that a man could have established opinions on things. Men were supposed to be fluid and go with the flow like women in her mind. She specifically wanted to continue dating but I ghosted her after I hit it simply because of her constant push towards Western groupthink.

I would say Eastern Europe and realm of the Orthodox Church are the only places where the theme of the thread is still true.

What kind of opinions does a Northern EU SJW have?

Most of my experience was last year, but here in the Baltics, the pink haired snowflakes abound and there is the sense that a principled, conservative or traditional man is not so socially cool. Since I am black American, people assume that I come with that leftist outlook of we are all the same and we all should live the same. I even had one young girl excitedly proclaim “Wow, you made it!” when I told her my lifestyle. As well meaning as she meant to be, it was quite condescending and fully reflective of the expectation that I be some sort of a victim of some oppression or strife. This mentality is exported from America.

Granted, there are some 3rd world migrants here including some Africans. They are reviled as “luck searchers” by most people here but are seen as objects upon which to virtue signal by girls here.

I hate the Arabs here and they likely hate me. The Africans are a nuisance and have no shame when coming up to me even as I am speaking to a beautiful girl (as if I would share her with them). I am not a fan of either.

Incidentally, I had my first American come up to me with, “Are you 'Murican?” I fully denied it of course as I prefer to not be seen as American. If people can identify as the opposite gender now, I can identify as Swiss while abroad!

All in all, the locals are pleasant people and I look forward to starting my course at university here. That should shed a lot of light on how things actually are.

It sounds like things are fairly new. Maybe soon you'll meet some who are just as sweet as the Ukrainian women.

Kind of agree with Coontrarian again. Starting to get worried, as agreeing with the likes of him multiple times now shouldn't be the case, but I digress. I personally don't want to identify as English/British (home nation) or American (current residence). I'll take Swiss nationality anyday. Their passports tend to be gold to a world traveller such as myself because they're known for minding their own business when it comes to global affairs.
