Maybe it's a force created by demons or dark forces, as Adama and Starchild would say. lol. It brought bad luck too. Flooded our house due to murphy's law of leaves blocking the sinkhole.
You make 180 USD per day? Wow you are killing it. You shouldn't be concerned about losing money though. I thought you were an intellectual freethinker? You are supposed to seek knowledge and wisdom as your "soul food", not money. Why you so money hungry? lol
You are a loss to the 1700s with your demons and Murphy's Law. Yes, the Typhoon did have a negative energy, which had me in bed all day. Whether it was demons or low pressure the end result was the same. When Lawrence of Arabia explained how a telescope worked to nomadic tribesmen in Arabia, they said it was a pointless device - was the point of seeing more stars beyond the stars we can already see.
I certainly don't make 180 USD a day. We had two days off for the typhoon in Taipei. I work some days more than others, Tuesday was going to be a lucrative one, today not so much. I have lived nearly all of my adult life paycheque to paycheque and as of next Friday I don't have job at all! I don't really feel it necessary to affirm my position as an intellectual freethinker, it seems a given, if I get any further far out I'll be flying into space like and aeroplane that doesn't dip its nose travelling over a flat earth lol.
Yes certainly the English of the 18th and 19th centuries was more rich. Have you read Thomas De Quincy's 'Confessions of an English Opium Eater', the length of his sentences and depth of his vocab are a mindfuck.
Yeah and I'm a loss to the 1700's with my romantic charm too. lol.
Are you the type of person who gets down from cloudy gray skies? Like Rock does? Weather doesn't usually affect my mood, so if I get bad vibes from a storm, it's unusual. Maybe I got bad vibes from this typhoon cause it did so much property damage and caused power outages. So that made it seem spooky? lol
When you saw "low pressure" what do you mean? Do you mean less air or more air? Or compressed air?
What do telescopes have to do with this? lol. I'm sure nomadic tribes would have found a telescope useful for scouting out enemies at a distance.
Why are you quitting next Friday? Is it the end of your contract? What will you do after that? Go to Indonesia? Are you going to renew your contract? What about your apartment lease?
When you said the 18th century was rich, you meant rich in vocabulary right? Yeah I didn't know there were so many words in the English language that I never seen before, that still exist in dictionaries but are never used anymore. Funny. How come people back then had a wider range of vocabulary? Is it because without a TV, they spent all evening studying new vocabulary words? lol
Also I noticed that books in the 1700's contain very long sentences with tons of commas and hyphens, like run on sentences. Today they end sentences after 2 or 3 lines with a period to take a breather.
Btw, you might have misunderstood me earlier when I said I didn't like the air in Asia. I wasn't referring to the air in the typhoon or "low pressure". I was referring to the air quality in southern Asia in general. I've never liked it. I dislike humidity and moisture in the air. It makes me feel icky, sticky and slimy. I never feel cool and refreshed like I do with the air in the US. Do you know what I mean? The air in Asia doesn't bother you? It's nowhere as good as in New Zealand right? I'm used to really good fresh air and cool temperatures. I grew up in California where there was perfect weather most of the year.
