Wonderful article. What particularly struck me was the following:

While contrarians often see themselves as righteous defenders of truth, others may experience them as crotchety pot-stirrers.

I thought to myself, “If the author of this article only knew!” Yes, I think most of us here have some measure of a contrarian streak and conventional thinkers remain the bane of our existence.
