Do you think this ebook idea will fly?

I had an idea for an ebook on asperger syndrome, and I am going to try an sell it. Do you think 19.99 for 40 pages is too much?

It depends. Ebooks are hard to sell unless there is some perceived value or you have a lot of traffic or you are seen as an expert in your niche.

Also, if you are selling on Amazon Kindle, then $20 and $10 yields you the same commission. At $10, you get 70 percent commission, and at $20 you get 30 percent commission, which works out to almost the same.

The purpose is to deal with the negativity associtated with the disorder, suggest places that are easier to meet people at, use their obsessiveness positively, and point out places you can get extra advice from. I have on average 4 or 5 points per topic, of which I spend 2 pages exploring. My competitve advantage is that I will explain specific problems of it, and not a generalized book on it. Also, there is a combined 10,800 (10,700 with margin of error), and if you apply the 1 percent to it (very conservative), you get 107 sales, and if you apply the general 3 percent conversion rate, you get 128. Any thoughts?

Also, one of the terms I will be targeting has the domain for sale. And a lot of the results are yahoo answers. That is why I am kind of curious. Even if my conversion rate is low (1%), I will still have a decent audience. Add in a built in affiliate system my host has, and perhaps we having a winning combo.

At best, you'll sell a few copies. At worst, you'll get a learning experience at a low price.
