Post by Taco »

I noticed Moody's downgraded some Canadian Banks while at the same time upgraded some Filipino Banks, its just a subtle hint of the financial turmoil thats coming.

But I thought you said we were going to have a crisis already, that the stock market would collapse, and that we should store away, food, water, etc. Remember all that info you had from special inside sources. What gives man?

Moreover, r u naive enough to take Moody ratings seriously? Most of the stuff which blew-up in 08 and 09 had stellar scores by them and other US rating agencies.

There isn't just one guy make dire predictions about the global economy, theres 1000's of guys making dire predictions, you can choose who you want to listen to. This year Obama has a gift for everyone for helping him get re-elected, just in time for Christmas.

I've been working through Ann's economic series and am a regular reader of her articles.

As an aside, I don't think you'll find a feminist that says women should not have the right to vote.

Before you claimed to have special inside sources so good that you knew the within weeks that markets would collapse, the SHTF, and we should start making extreme preparations pronto. So what happened to that prediction you were so sure about? Why don't you acknowledge that your timing at least was totally wrong?

There are also 1,000s predicting things like the major disasters or even the end of the world in December 2012 as per their interpretation of the Mayan calender. So, should we all be preparing to die cus of that?

Choose who to listen to eh? How about thinking independently with a healthy dose of common sense instead?

As for external debt per capita, we may be higher than Greece but what about Netherlands, UK, Switzerland, Norway, Belgium, Hong Kong, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, France, Finland, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, etc.??? I think there are well over a dozen countries higher than us on that metric, some even multiples higher.

Fiscal Cliff, lol. Do you know who invented that term and what their motivations were? You are letting others think for you?

Sure, the US has a lot of big problems right now. But everything you post on the topic seems to me just to be undigested alarmism. There is a clear trend going against the overwhelming majority of Americans. I think we all get that. But I'm not sure the sky is falling. If you really think it is, just explain rationally with your own ideas instead of saying because 1,000 of people are saying so.
