Neo-peasantism

Post by Cornfed »

I may have just coined this term on another forum under another username. If so, I demand everyone give me credit and hail me as the genius that I am. The idea behind it is to solve the problem of jobs being automated without everyone just getting resources for nothing and becoming useless degenerates. One way would be for people to be expected to fend for themselves in their own households on their own land, but with the help of modern technology. So they would have to be able to maintain their own fuel cell, grow their own hydroponic stuff, or specialise in some aspect of this and exchange their skills with other locals. Is this a common idea?

Perhaps you could write a book.
