What are some of the things I need to see and do while in Shanghai? Any advice? Thanks...

So far, I've visited the waterfront promenade facing the Bund area and tower, and the French Concessionaire area of Shanghai. I also visited the famous Peace Hotel near the aforementioned promenade waterfront; it's worth a quick look to check out the retro Art-Deco style of the hotel, and the Jazz band.

Any other places to see in Shanghai? Please give me some advice.

Any pics? Is it pretty hectic there?

Yeah, it's hectic, so it can be overwhelming sometimes...

I will post some pictures later on the forum, when I get the chance.

You still in Shanghai? Jing'an Temple and the Communist Martyrs Memorial.

The scale model of Shanghai is great.

The zoo was OK but Guangzhou's was better, and Wuhan's was weirder.

There's an insect museum by the weird tunnel ride under the bund. They have a whole load of insects, a lot of tortoises and some bad Chinglish. Also said tunnel ride is "interesting", but give it a miss if you have epilepsy.

I've been to Jing'an Temple and People's Square. I haven't visited the Shanghai Zoo, yet. Shanghai Disneyland should be open in two years time, so I will go back to Shanghai then.
