So what is the message you wish to convey? Stay in America? It's screwed but at least you know how it's screwed.

BTW, I should add that as a newbie on this site, I am genuinely seeking the truth. I love travel and love women and would love to combine both. And I have often thought about relocating post-retirement. But OTOH if as Rock as several others seem to imply it's (old) fools gold, well I have no desire to waste my time.

However, I will say that I have traveled abroad and without any effort found women in those countries and so far have managed to do it without getting fleeced.

I don't think going abroad would be a waste of your time. You have to find your own reality out there. I tend to be a realist. That makes me skeptical of amazing claims which I haven't seen backed-up with my own eyes.

But many countries are much better than the US for finding intimacy, romance, and love with attractive girls. In the US, it seems many average looking, and even above average looking young guys can't get a date with anyone remotely attractive. Just read through the posts here.

Consider a guy who in his early 20s is only able to date obese girls in the States but when he hits 35, he goes to Colombia, Russia, Brazil, or China and suddenly finds himself dating spicy 20 year old students. This is an example of why abroad has much more potential than the States.

Faster forward to the guy when he reaches 50s. If he's in the States, he can probably date girls around his own age or a few years younger. Perhaps in some cases, you can get it down to late 30s women with baggage, issues, etc. However, Steve Hoca, 39, claims US women his age only want to date younger guys, lol. Anyway, as a 50 something, going abroad will help a helluva lot in most cases. But going for the early 20s set is pushing the bounds of reason. I'm not saying its impossible. Its just that I really don't see it happen very often unless a lot of 'sugar' is being passed in the process. BUT, if you just raise your target age a decade or so, the picture looks much more promising. Consider an early 30s girl with no kids, beautiful face, and hot body. Do you think a 50 something would have a shot at her in the States under normal circumstances? Well, in Brazil, Ukraine, or even Taiwan, you just might. Many African and NE Asian women who've grown-up in the right circumstances look amazing for their age too. So biologically, you may be getting a mid 20s girl.

Perhaps you can consider a rough rule of thumb formula which has been cited on this forum before: (your age / 2) + 7 to determine the mid-point age of your target age range. The good thing about this formula is that the older you get, the larger the gap becomes. Here's a few examples:

- For a 36 year old guy, formula yields 25. So he could target women from 23-27 (9-13 year gap)
- For a 46 year old guy, formula yields 30. So he could target women from 28-32 (14-18 year gap)
- For a 56 year old guy, formula yields 35. So he could target women from 33-37 (19-23 year gap)
- For a 66 year old guy, formula yields 40. So he could target women from 38-42 (24-28 year gap)

I think these gaps are still realistically achievable with subsets of women in the more favorable countries abroad but certainly not in the US. If you wanted to push it, I suppose you could substitute your apparent age for your real age allowing relatively youthful looking guys to cut off a couple years or so from the target range. But then you have to lie about your age or risk shocking her with the real figure.

Now one alternative to this is try dating 19-22 year olds your whole life. If you can pull-it off and more importantly, trigger genuine feelings and respect from the girls towards yourself, more power to you. I would love to see older guys posting about their successes with very young and/or hot girls in various countries. Example pictures or vids of such relationships would be especially inspiring.

BTW, one of the advantages of being over 50 is that all women are younger than you I mean my 23 year old Kenyan friend is , well - 23. But had she been 30 or 33 (assuming she still looked good) she still would have had the same youthful impact on me. I find that most of my middle aged friends, while they think young girls are hot, navigate towards women closer to their age because of shared experiences, upbringing, etc. I'm the opposite and have always liked women with different experiences from mine, whether because they're of a different generation, a different race or culture. What do I need a woman my age for - so we can reminisce about the Beatles? Yuk! So for me, a different culture and/or race, combined with different generation is absolutely fascinating. OK, and the sex ain't bad either.

I reckon most of the girls interested in Nigerians would also be interested in a Black American. And you can probably learn some tricks from some of those guys. But at the same time, you might wanna be careful in associating with them. Some of them are drug-pushers and notorious too. You may also find some girls who are scared of Africans but would still be interested in or date a black American.

Latinos should be fine as well, just another breed of laowai, white or black. Of course you must accept that only a percentage of local girls are going to be open to dating foreigners. I don't know the size of that percentage is but I think its pretty big. And there's a much smaller subset who will actively seek foreigners - some prefer black and others are neutral or prefer whites.

I think Shanghai is going to be fairly similar to Beijing. Terrance from this board, a black American, has moved there and has reported on getting a lot of good attention from the local ladies.

Sorry about your experience in Cali. I was out there visiting family, in NorCal. Monterey County and the Bay Area. I grew up in the Philadelphia area, and the only people more rude, insecure, and assholish than here are those living in New York. So Cali was actually a break for me.

Yeah this girl was middle class, her dad is a physician and her aunt a doctor. Her godmother owns a house in downtown San Francisco, along with the mansion she owns in the Phils. She never once asked me for money, which was nice.

I was good with her family too - her brother called me Bro and she said her mom loved me more than her. I asked her why, and she said its because that everything bad that happened between us, she thinks its her fault. There's some truth to that, but I'm to blame too.

Here's the deal: The entire time we were talking, she kept insisting that I was her only one, kept telling me she loved me, that she dreamed about me, thought about me, made pictures of us, wrote poetry to me, was rooting for me in college, told all her friends and family about me, and was very vocal about us. Even her friends were rooting for us, I talked to them. She became extremely jealous when I even mentioned other girls. When we video chatted, she'd get inquisitive about me texting other people.

But she was a HUGE flirt. She said her friends make fun of her because she loves the white guys. As dedicated as she was to me, I was just one of many. I was blown away when I found out.

Anyway, turns out she was on this one guy's nuts big time, as I found out after doing a bit of research. Even though she was waiting for me to come over and leading me on, she had this other guy from Kentucky coming over with his buddies. Stoners and the like, the kind of people I used to hang with in high school. I told her she's getting herself into a world of shit, but she didn't listen. I asked her how she was gonna pass this guy off on her controlling, discerning family, and she said she wouldn't tell them anything they didn't need to know.

So we're kinda just friends today, even though she still acts like we're lovers or something and demands attention from me. It confuses me, honestly. She has the mentality and emotional level of a teenager.

I'm talking to two other girls right now, and they are light years different from her. One girl is a computer specialist and book nerd. Very intelligent, by Filipino standards, and her English is better than alot of Americans. But I'm not letting myself get caught up again. With my luck, she's probably got a dick.

Anyways, to answer your initial question of why you're not able to date the type of women you'd like, I think it's very easy to do. First of all, you're living in Angeles city, which is P4P central in the Philippines and not really a place to look for a quality girl, let alone to live. Change your environment, move to another city within the PIs, I'd suggest Cagayan de Oro or Davao City, both great cities, a lot less polluted and safer and more saner environment to live in than AC. Second, I'd suggest stop spending too much time in girly bars or with/around bar/pro girls. Reputation is everything, specially for the good girls, and they don't want to be associated in any way shape or form with a sex tourist. So you'd need to detach yourself from that environment and everything that goes with it. Also, get involved in the community, join clubs, organisations, do volunteer work, anything to get your mug out there and be seen as someone respectable. (Not saying you're not respectable, but if you spend most of your time in the girly bars, then that will be known fast and girls of good family will avoid you like the plague). You need to be seen as someone respectable, someone who is not there as a sex tourist. By doing that, that is moving to a "normal" city in the PI, getting involved in the community, joining clubs/organisations and or doing volunteer work, you will get to interact and meet higher quality people, will make friends of higher calibre and as a result, you will meet girls of your level, or at least the leve that you're craving and aspiring.

I'm not criticizing your lifestyle nor your decisions, just offering a suggestion as to how you can solve the problem you've been talking about here on this thread (not able to get girls of good quality, only the poorest and dumbest).

True. But didn't you read, I rarely ever go to bars anymore. I stay home most of the time, or I go to the supermarket, mall or my vegetarian food house. If I have visitors or guests, sometimes I take them to the bars, but I hardly ever go to them on my own. They are a waste of time and make me sick. I am not a bar monger or bar hopper at all. I am also too frugal for that kind of thing. But the problem is that in Angeles, there is nothing to do except the bars.

I don't know about the other parts of the Philippines. Sure they are more innocent, but the infrastructure is still shitty and it's hard to find good food and Filipino food is not vegetarian-friendly, nor even of good quality. There are nice people, but I can't really be friends with them if they can't hold an intelligent conversation, you know. Anyone can be polite and get along with others, but a real connection that is required for a friendship is something else. Plus how can I be comfortable here? I grew up in an upper middle class area in California where everything is nice, clean and soft. My body feels uncomfortable in the hardness and harshness of poor quality in everything here. It's not what I'm used to. Also, heat and humidity make me uncomfortable too.

I guess we'll see. But don't get the wrong idea that I spend a lot of time in bars. I don't.

Btw, expats in Baguio have told me that the girls there do not like to date foreigners and prefer their own kind.

I may have missed that part about you not going to the bars, but I only mentioned that as a guideline. I think the real problem in your case lies in the fact that you're living in the shitiest city in the Phils. I'd suggest you try other areas of the country and once you've found one that you like, where you can easily integrate into the local environment and get a social network going for you through joining clubs, organisations, volunteering etc...Once you get to a better place, get plugged involved into the local society, then you'll get plugged easily into a more upscale network and from there, will meet people with whom you can have real friendship, stimulating conversations and a good girl. Give it a try man.

I've been to the Phils once, earlier this year in Cebu where I spent 3 weeks. Initially I hated it as I was coming from BKK where I was living at the time, but then, over time, it started to grow on me and I may give it a 2nd chance later this year or earlier next year. I had a good time, met a lot of girls, most were pros I admit as I was there on holiday. But I did manage to get close with the manager of the resort I stayed at in Lapu Lapu, a stunningly beautiful 23 year old white skinned Pinay. I'm still in touch with her and I'm sure I'll have a great chance with her when I do return there.

Btw, here's another suggestion, seeing that you're looking for a place with great infrastructures, beautiful and approachable women, delicious food (veggie friendly) and an inexpensive cost of living, Bangkok. I initially went there for 1 month but loved it so much that I stayed there 4 months. Amazingly addictive place. Have you been to BKK? If not, I'm sure you'll enjoy it and might make it your new "home". Bkk is in many ways, a 1st world city but with 3rd world prices. I was living at a nice hotel for about 800/month as I was too lazy since the hotel was locate within walking distance to the clubs in the heart of the Sukhumvit area. You can easily find apartments there for as low as 150/month if you sign a 6 months contract or can also find grat plceas to stay at on a month to month basis for 300-600 fully funished with a pool, gym, wifi, cable etc...

Her and the crowd she rolls with are pretty smart, said I'd fit right in (not saying I'm smart, but as it turns out, we have alot in common at least). I'd say she would qualify as one of those Apple computer-toting hipster types in the States here. Very aware with politics, science, a liberal, etc. (and naturally, the smarter they are, the less religious they are - she's an agnostic who hates organized religion and couldn't care less about the Catholic church).

Granted, there's definitely some shadows within her character that concern me. But I'm still trying to find out more.

I'm also speaking to a Japanese girl. Ever try to get with them? I've been a member of JapanCupid and its a ghost town compared to Filipina sites. Japanese and Filipina are very different, from my observations. But this girl seems nice - she knows four languages and has lived in foreign countries for a while (she's currently hosteling in France). I wanted to ask her questions about living abroad, and after exchanging messages, she wanted to start skyping. I'll confess - Japanese girls are so cute. But I'm dubious, as of right now.

Anyway that's the story of the last year or so of my experiences with foreign dating. If I had tons of money and answered every girl that has messaged me, I'd be soaked in p***y by now. But I'm thinking about the long term. Just gotta take your time and eventually a good candidate will surface. Its like dating anywhere else, pretty much....except its amplified by about 100 times.

Nothing about Winston's decisions makes much sense. As a general rule, his actions do not logically follow from his stated intentions, goals, or beliefs.

He says he's a vegetarian and that being one "keeps his karma clean" (whatever that means), yet he's disgustingly fat and unhealthy.
