Americans Targeted for Allegedly Running Underage Prost...

Post by Mr S »

Here is our sensationalist American news media at work, distorting the reality of things for ratings. I like how they imply some video shots of Fields avenue as Subic bar action, big difference if you've been to both places.

This news piece will probably attract more dudes to come to the Philippines rather than less. It's like a giant billboard saying here is where you can score underage girls for cheap. Come on over, just don't act like a douche and tell your sexcapades to complete strangers like the ONE American we spent and wasted tonnes of time and money to arrest, while we know there are hundreds or thousands of locals and foreigners doing similar acts every freaking day in this country.

How about Nightline go under cover for a sting against the corrupt Philippine government that lets all this happen? No can't do that, we'll target individual Americans cause we are the giant nanny state that follows citizens across borders when they don't want to conform to 'accepted' American cultural norms. Philippine government might lose face, but we can destroy the lives of individual Americans no problem, just can't touch the big guys in GOVERNMENT...

You'll have to change "P4P" in the link to the correct spelling of "prustitootiun" to get it to work cause Winston must have some auto reword set on his board.

How the hell is the story "sensationalist?" I think it's disgusting that males are going to Philippines to have sex with underage women and prostituting them. The whole monger scene is disgraceful and hurts the image of foreigners in many countries. And the American dude in the story trafficking in these underage girls--and doing it under the thumb of his wife in the U.S.--is pathetic! Glad to see him being bought to justice by both American and Filipino law enforcement officials.

When I was in Cambodia it was becoming the fashion for NGO creeps to railroad random white men on trumped up child sex charges and have them sent to prison for absurdly disproportional sentences by the corrupt Cambodian system. I wonder in the same thing will happen in other countries.

Interesting how the American agent of "ICE" led the raid in the Philippines, a supposedly sovereign ordering Filipinos around, probably at gunpoint.

Also interesting how the American social workers want to find the young girl a job NOW, after she's already "damaged goods".

What would have been wrong with conducting a low-cost AFE-type "social" back in her home village, parents present, so expats or locals seeking brides could meet girls on an honorable basis? No, better to let them fall all the way first, before stepping in, so you get the little twinge of self-admiration that comes from being a rescuer.

I dislike prostitution of young girls, but I also have a mistrust of do-gooders. And government. Especially the U.S. government.

BTW, the Filipinos authorities didn't give a shit what he was doing, as they knew what was going on. Only with extreme pressure did they do anything and it was like the keystone cops. The government and authorities are both complicit whether it's federal or local in regards to whats going on. If they really wanted to do something and put a stop to prostitution in bars then they would have sent the entire Filipino army to raid every bar in the Philippines at once and arrest everyone involved and close all the doors at once. But no, you will never see that happen cause the industry attracts too much money, same in Thailand. Sex sells and the governments know it. They only bowed to this because of the American news being involved. The Philippines could care less about its poor citizens as long as they can control their votes every election. Look at all the homeless street kids running around Manila and you'll soon discover going after foreigners who like 16 yr olds should be the least of their worries.

This is why it is sensationalism, cause in many countries, including the good old USA, the age of consent is well under 18 in many states. So for them to be going to a foreign country to specifically target foreigners looking for sex with young girls who may be 16, which is illegal in PI, is quite hypocritical if you think about it. They are targeting the final symptom rather than the initial cause regarding the reason why this is happening. The guy never talked about banging girls under 16, there are real sickos out there doing girls 14 and under, those are the real perverts, not 16/17 year old chasers. Anyways, why not go after the girls family too? They let them run away to these bars, don't have any control of their teen kid. So its a bunch of BS, news stories like this don't tell the whole story why this all happens in the first place.

I think the reason why you start to see foreign governments or UN involved with this stuff is because they want to control people and they are just their own organized criminal branch disguised as big government. They don't want to see their own citizens skirting laws that disrupt natural human inclinations unless given permission. You'll probably see more of this happening in the future as governments look for excuses to micromanage their populations and keep in line any dissent. It may come to a point where certain passport holders will be barred to go into places like this while locals or other foreign country citizens won't. International policing is probably another decade or more away though, but i think it is coming if globalization continues in its present big brother format.
