I'll approach her one of these days. Pay her fare. Make babies with her. :P

Filipinas are looking for boyfriends.

You must be explicit and say that you are not looking for a relationship (if you aren't). Unlike American girls, Filipinas assume that sex implies a deeper relationship.

You must convey the following as to prevent future pain:

Sex is sex. Next is next.

"What do you do?" is never asked

Postby mguy » Wed Oct 02, 2013 12:33 am

With a significant sample size of across the socio-economic strata, I can say that there is something cultural about asking what one does for a living.

Girls do not ask what one does for a living!!! Unlike their American counterparts. Why? Why? Why?

The girls who have asked (5 of them), had asked after 20 minutes and they never ask as a qualifier. They would ask what I studied and leave it at that.

I am not sure why this is.

So if a girl asks you what you do for a living when you meet her - she is deviating from a cultural norm! American girls will ask within 1 minute!

Western women ask because it qualifies your status within Western society. Are you a lawyer, doctor, garbage collector? Your status is based on what you do, even more than on how much you make.

OTOH in PI, by definition, you are a rich kano. Whether you are a lawyer, doctor, student, or garbage collector - you are rich.

The other issue is that how we define jobs in Western culture is different from how they are defined there. My wife knows that I am a software engineer, but despite describing what I do many times, I doubt she really comprehends it. This isn't just her fault. Job titles in the US have become more and more impossible to understand. Yes, I am a software engineer but I don't (and can't) write a line of code. So while I know what I do, the job title is meaningless to describe it to others, though most people nod their heads when I say software engineer, as if they actually understand.

Re "What do you do":
Isn't it amazing when women ask you "What do you do", they expect an answer, yet when you ask them the same question, they are vague or evasive. At least this is the experience with American women and Americanized Asian women.

For example, at a friend's party I met a rather attractive Asian-American women and she asked me what I do. I told her quite honestly and when I asked her the same, she said, "I work in the entertainment industry."

Now that's a pretty vague answer and could mean anything from "clerk", "singer", "actress", "porn actress" or "prostitute." The more I probed, the more vague and evasive she became.

But you're right, the foreign-born women don't ask directly "what do you do"; they will ask in a more subtle and indirect manner. Had that happen to me when I met this charming Chinese woman from Hong Kong. I was surprised in the end how much she knew about me. Didn't so much as to feel "my pockets picked", so to speak.

Is it possible that this is because most people in the West don't actually do anything meaningful, but rather just put on a costume, turn up at a building and indulge is silly rituals as a lame pretext to be handed welfare benefits?

Your question implies you are a Western girl interested in dating :)

But if you truly want to know, I am currently mostly involved with software validation.

A chick paid for my taxi-fare to go home. First time this has happened.

I think the principle of, "the richer the chick, the cheaper the date" holds very true. The richer girls seem to value my money. I think they dont want to be seen as money grubbing or its just rich values. I tried bringing chick to an upscale pub where me and Rock hung out, then she said "don't, it's too expensive here.. I know a better place" On the other hand, chicken-heads are so resource wasteful and quick to invite to restaurants. This rich chick wants to bring me to binondoto try local food and advises to bring, "pepto-bismol" - I lol'd.

This isnt the first time it happened. Other chicks also advises me against expensive establishments, and prefer that we hang out in more down to earth places.

How a Filipina dresses, tells a lot about her. If she wears a slutty dress then she has slutty tendencies. Why? This is because the Philippines is a conservative country.

This chick pointed that out to me. I said explain her to me. She said this girl-wearing a mini-skirt is probably an entertainer from japan, she has been influenced, that no good Filipinas would ever dress that way.

So in short, "if it looks like cake, smells like cake.. its cake." Pay attention to how your female dresses in this conservative country to understand her psychology. If she shows up like a slut on the first date.. question the motive.

If there is one thing Filipinas love.. it is pick-up lines.

Go ahead and give them one. I guarantee they will have more pick-up lines than you..

Its used as comedy here.

If you must go for an upscale date, then I suggest watching a play at Resort World which is a casino type place.

There is a club there called OPUS which I do not suggest you go to (inundated with foreigners) and people who want to be seen. Not my scene.

I also ran I have two tickets game -- do you want to watch it with me? on the girls there and came off with a number. All this while I was waiting for someone who went to the bathroom. I believe the whole complex is monitored closely so I would not recommend gaming here. lolz.

Had free wine and appetizers! lots of ladies in lovely dresses. This is definitely a world away from mongering. lol

If you have good female friends, then you are golden. Keep your female friends close. Fawn them. They are cool and will help you out.

Fck game. The only thing "normal" people need really is social introductions. Here's how it happens to the non-red pill taking Asians in Asia (normal people). The guys say just say, "I want a new chick"

then the girls..
"do you want me to set you up?"
looks to other friends
"do you know anyone for mguy?"
"oh! oh! oh! I know.. !!!"
"OMG PROJECT!!!!"
"yess... we will set you up!!"

"but I want several to choose from and I'm not even sure I'll choose" me says

"no prob!"

If you are a guy who has fallen for Manila and keeps coming back. Instead of investing time and energy into meeting new girls through online why don't you invest time in maintaining and keeping female friendship.

Western PUA teaches that having female friends is an impossibility BUT i disagree with that in Asia. It is perfectly normal here, at least in manila, to be friends with girls. Instead of the gung-ho style try keeping a stable of females that is strictly platonic and build relationships with them; in the end, all you really have to do to get hooked-up is to ask your female friends whose connections runs deep so deep that it puts asses to sleep.

lulz
