Driving In Asia

Post by Taco »

I do not recommend driving in any Asian country unless you have a death wish. Being a pedestrian is even more dangerous. Take busses, trains, planes, ferries whenever possible.

Being on busy roads in the Philippines is down-right terrifying...lol. No one cares about lanes, rules, etc. If there is a space, they are driving into it...at a fast past. It's just....insane.

Try Cambodia - driving there is a total free-for-all.

I agree, China has the worst drivers of any place I've ever been.

Cars are not good investments for a variety of reasons. If the country your living in has good public transportation its best to use it whenever possible.

In China and the Philippines the police decide who's at fault in a car accident. Even if you have car insurance you could have to pay out even if its not your fault.
