"the website may reflect a shifting culture of a more self-centered and individualized approach where people are less inclined to sacrifice self fulfillment for the marriage and the family."

It is from North America after all...

""I'm just riding a tidal wave, a social change where women lead and men follow," Biderman said"..

Singapore has the right idea. Its government is blocking access to Ashley Madison's website.

"In a statement on Friday evening, MDA said it is against the public interest to allow Ashley Madison to promote its website in flagrant disregard of family values and public morality.
MDA said the Ashley Madison website, however, stands out as it aggressively promotes and facilitates extramarital affairs and has declared that it will specifically target Singaporeans."
I wonder why Israel isn't one of the countries targeted by Noel Biderman's product.

SG's ISP impose filter on porn sites, but ironically does not block their own Sammy Boy site that's basically used to find info on hookers. ;p

Singapore is very much "Big Brother", they have extremely low fertility rates and the men import women to marry as their women are notoriously evil. The Singapore government empowers women and cripples men. Divorce in Singapore is worse than in the USA for men...amazingly brutal. That is why Singaporean men don't want Singaporean women...the risk is too great. Singaporean men are usually not very "manly", but scared, bitter and uneasy. It is very evident if you have lived there. Sure, they ban porn in order to keep their people "innocent". Of course, this doesn't work. They are more conservative in WHAT they do when they have sex, but they'll have sex with anyone they think will progress their lives (for women, its often a rich white men). Women in Singapore are more concerned about what sex will give them financially than any pleasure from it. Singapore also has a red light district that everyone knows about. My feeling is that the Singapore government allows it in order to reduce/prevent rape. They push it out into one section of the city and let people do their business. That's likely a wise move on their part IMO as Singapore is probably the safest place I've ever lived in (as far as crime from other people is concerned). Singapore does some things right and some things wrong. If you like freedom, you'd best look elsewhere. Everything you do and say on the internet is monitored (even more than in the USA). MANY websites are blocked (you can get around it using VPN's though) which are not even Porn related. Drug offenses will get you caned (for VERY small amounts) or hung to death (for medium to high amounts). If you go to a nightclub and a woman claims you grabbed her, you could end up in jail for a long time. They don't have a jury system like they do in the USA so it's literally dangerous to get drunk and get even a little out of control in ANY way. That is why expats fly to Thailand on the weekends instead of staying in Singapore...much more carefree and fun for most.
