Father Figures Trailer:

It used to be on dailymotion but it got took down so...

You can download the whole documentary here using bittorrent its around an hour long:
http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/9844965/ ... gures_.mp4

It will remind you how wenchy Western women are nowadays and judgmental. The old guys daughter is a complete fake and talks shit behind their backs then acts all nice in front of them, typical passive aggressive Feminine bitch Western scank.

I do think the age difference is ridiculous but they do give each other something so if they both agree with it so what, they are both adults in the end.

Actually his GF speaks pretty good English for coming from a poor family and compared to the typical Filipino that I talk to on a daily basis. She is a pretty decent GF too, does everything for him, why would an old dude not want a girl like that? No wonder Western women are having fits when they see stuff like this.

I've dated girls kinda like this but never to this extreme though with doing everything, although I'm pretty independent so don't like things done for me a lot of times unless I need it or don't want to do it myself.

The daughter is very judgmental and demanding as well, she is only looking at the situation through her feminized/Westernized mindset rather than looking at the whole picture and trying to understand the situation from the girls point of view. Essentially, the girls chances of having a better life are much greater with the old guy than with a local Filipino and the her Father knows it that's why he signed his consent for her to get married. Life is tough in PI if you are poor, this is what most radical Western feminists don't understand when they try to shove their female principles on other women in entirely different cultures and social circumstances.

Great Video..Thanks...Philippines is really up there when it comes to relationships....

Also, They have really evolved out of AGE BULL CRAP....That is more than 1000 noble prizes combined for a country....that most western nations have...

Yes. Some people will say..she is buying time for him to die, she is after money etc...but believe me...its not so easy...Im from India and we are much poorer than Philippines.but society is so f**cked up here...Nothing of this sort could ever happen here ..they would let people die than form a relationship like that..even 10 to 15 year age gap is a big deal here....

didn' see the movie yet just the trailer but i see nothing special for what she is doing at quick glance. The girl that is living with me since i met her at the airport from the dating has been catering to me. she was a bit resitant at first which led to fighting but now she does everything you can imagine giving me sex anytime i want, blowjobs, massages, etc now she almost gives m a pornstar experience with my training but only to please me which gets depressing. unfortunately she is not naturally asexual so that has led to fights i was hoping for a sexual girl like my barhoe. which reminds me my bargirl girlfriend before catered to my ass and f***ed me like a pornstar also so even a bargirl sometimes can treat you good.

By all means everybody deserves to be happy and use whatever means available, so long it's nothing illegal or deeply unethical. If that 20 years old chose to hook up with a 70-yo Canadian, she must have had her reasons, love being (perhaps) one of them. 50 years gap is a friggin' abyss though...I am wondering what will happen when the guy dies - perhaps she and her family will step in to claim a share of his heritage. I wouldn't want to be there when that happens.

Oh well, at least the guy will die a happy guy :)

What do most pinay's have? Nothing, yet like all women they want everything. So the pinay hitches an easy ride on an old dead man. Better life for her while it lasts.

They have the gift of Youth, they're traditional enough to take care of their senile partners even give into the occasional bout of sex even if they don't feel attracted to them. And they speak English at al least basic enough level. Believe me, that's much more any man in the 45-70 age spectrum can desire and find in their first-world home country.

Stories like the above really make me think backwater areas in the Philippines are the only place in the world where such "male dreams" can come true.

The big secret in the movie is you find out 'girlie' had lied about her age and actually when the old dude decided to come to the Philippines to meet and bang the girl he met online she was actually only 16 so technically that's a no-no in many peoples eyes especially when the age gap is so great. They actually go to Hong Kong to get married cause that's the only country in Asia where it's legal to get married at that age with a written consent form from the father of the daughter. However because of the age difference and the girls age which is 17 by the end of the documentary the government won't let her fly out of the country with him until she is 18 even though technically they are legally married now.

The daughter basically has a complete fit and goes completely ape shit on her father in the movie calling him all kinds of nasty names and whatnot, blaming him for her life and all that. Bascially, he may have some issues but his daughter really treats her father like crap, maybe to get back at him for perceived slights by him while growing up, from what she says anyways.

In the end the daughter burns the bridge and essentially disowns her father and the young girl and old dude are still married together and I think she is trying to get him to move her to Canada and maybe have a kid together...

The end

Shit LOL, I did download it but hadn't watched that far when I write the earlier post. Now I have and...well...the guy seems to have fairly good intentions towards Girlie. He probably does have her best interests at heart: giving her a good education, maybe a life in Canada, kids, etc. His daughter's reaction at the end is clearly dictated by latent resentment towards a mediocre dad who never quite managed to make her proud, whatever that means.

Nonetheless, he never comes across as a paedo or creep, and as Phil Collins said, one always have to watch at both sides of the story. One side is a woman who is reasonably happy with her family (is she divorced? the last scene before the titles, where she strolls on the beach shows an adult man, her husband) and life, despite a disappointing relationship with her dad. The other is a deeply lonely man who is living the dream of being treated like a king by a young and beautiful girl, at the modest cost of giving her (and her family) some financial security.

And let's not forget that, at the beginning of the documentary, filmmaker daughter says she had lost her job, so this documentary is a pet project of hers who she successfully managed to get produced. I wouldn't be surprised that the over-dramatisation and feminist bias was there mostly to pander to the US/Canadian audience.

I watched this last night and the part where the feminist Canuck tells the filipina that her dad lied about the millions he made was deceptive. The filipina isn't crying bc she lied to her. She's crying because the daughter is doing everything in her power to keep her from marriage.

I live in Canada and believe the women here are FAR WORSE than the woman in the USA. I grew up in New Orleans and thought I knew feminism until I moved here. TERRIBLE women here.

This video has been making the rounds of all the fil-am groups I am on and I finally watched it yesterday with my wife. Most of the comments have regarded the relationship, age gap, etc.

For me while all three principles did some wrong things, the daughter was by far the worst since her stuff was deliberate and calculating. She made a documentary, essentially playing a feminist Mike Wallace, confronting both her father and Girlie, all the while portraying herself as the moral compass and hero of the movie.

I was appalled. Yes the guy maybe should have run once he found out the girl was underage, and yes the girl lied to get a guy to take care of her, but the daughter was a monster. She tried to break up the impending marriage allegedly out of concern for the girl, and then chastised and disowned the father when she found out the girls true age.

The fathers biggest mistake was in having his relationship made into a doc by his angry daughter. He should have known that would end up disastrously. I do admire him since at the end of the film he realized he was being set up and refused to cooperate any longer.

Interesting observation. Canadian women are always ready to explode when something doesn't fit their "programming". In this case, an old dude wanting to get his rocks off on a 20 yr old. She'll have Filipino boyfriend on the side.

Not sure I follow this. Daughter did nothing wrong in my eyes. Wanted to make documentary about Pinay - Western Men relationships. Ok nothing wrong with that. Found out her father was f***ing an underage girl. Was pissed and disgusted. Again only normal, nothing wrong with that. The only thing she appeared to do which concerns me is disowning her father. I mean she has that right, but not sure I would want to go to that extreme. Having a love one die when you are on the outs is not a good / healthy feeling.

The father should break off the relationship, get a new gf, and simply pay for Girlies schooling.

The daughter

Postby davewe » Fri Apr 25, 2014 5:10 am

The daughter was not making an objective doc about Fil-Am marriage, she was making a slam piece about her own father.

Granted we live in a world where social media and reality TV makes it appear that such things are normal but they aren't. She used the fact that her dad wanted her to know and be close to Girlie. Her agenda was to make a movie addressing her own issues with her father. He was too naive or old to understand her motivations - until the end.

Let me repeat - this was not an independent filmmaker doing a thought provoking piece. It was an angry daughter setting herself up as judge and putting it to film.

Seems to be a common theme among Fil-Am relationship: Old, lonely man seeks loving companion (and LBFM) and finds it in the Philippines. Young Filipina looking for a "rich Kano" to help her and her family.

Lots of red flags in this story:

1) It's one thing for a man to marry a Filipina 10-15-20 years younger, but 50 years!? And she's underaged.

2) Filipina agrees to have relationship with much older man. Even her parents encourages the relationship. What kind of parents encourages their 16 year old daughter to marry a 70+ year old man?? Would YOU let your teenage daughter marry a 70+ year old man?

There's a saying in the Philippines: "Matandang Mayamang Madaling Mamatay", translated: "marry the 'old, rich and soon to die' western men so she (and the extended family) can inherit his money after he dies --- jackpot, bingo, instant millionaires!

Wouldn't surprise me if the young Filipina has a Filipino boyfriend in the background and they're waiting for the old geezer to die (naturally or "accidentally").

3) His daughter is no doubt upset and opposed to her father marrying the Filipina: She's going to lose her inheritance and will do anything to prevent that from happening, even if it means declaring her father mentally incompetent (rhetorical question: what sane 70-year old would marry a 17-year old?).

On the other hand, maybe the old man doesn't want his daughter to get anything, so why not marry a young Filipina and enjoy his final years happily in "HAPPINESS ABROAD"?
