Hello everyone. I'd like to know about the experiences of unashamedly-heterosexual Black men that have been to Mainland China. I've done Japan thrice, and I'm headed to China next month. I am expecting the worst, but I am hoping that I can find an establishment where they have skin bleaching so I will not be celibate for the duration of my trip, or have to resort to expats or p4p (which are not really open to Black dudes either, or so I read). I may also try to sneak Taiwan into the trip if I can.

Already been to Japan, and that isn't really true.

Prepare yourself for "polite" discrimination. They will simply pretend they do not see you and only the young students will give you any respect. Sad but true - China is a very racist nation towards people of color.

You must have had a much different experience than the thousands of black men who couldn't have had an easier time getting Japanese women.

You must not have gone to the right places because the women there like black men a lot, especially the African Americans.

About black men and japanese women. Some of it is true but some of it is overblown. I visited Japan and this is what I saw. It depends upon where you go. There are expats bars that caters to black men..and the japanese girls that go there are open to black men but if your a black guy that go to expat bar where its mostly white guys the japanese girls are mostly looking for white guys there. If it's mostly a japanese bar or club ..the girls there prefer the local guys .

I think back in the 90's it was more prevalent for Japanese girls to chase after western guys thinking they get treated better but it didn't work out that way but still you cases like this. But some of it is overblown. Its like people have this thinking if you go to Japan or some other Asian countries there be 50 virgins waiting for you once you off the plane.

Dude, it's folly to think that EVERY Japanese woman likes black men.

That's not what's being said.

I am saying that a black man can be very successful with Japanese women even more so than with American women.

Is it really a bad thing for a black guy if some Japanese women like white men or their own native Japanese men sometimes?

Women like different things.

But to make excuses and say that as a black man that you just can't find a quality Japanese woman who like you makes me think that it's something YOU'RE not doing.

With minimal effort, a decent looking black man who is brown or dark skinned should be able to get numbers and set up dates with Japanese women.

Go to South Korea as a black man and they will make you appreciate Japanese women.

This is very true. I am just saying that it isn't a sure shot in Japan for a Black guy like it is for a White or Latin guy, and even if you find success, it is nowhere near the level of success that others will have, or even the level of success that Black guys had in the previous decade.

I'm here. Made the mistake of going out to the club the first night, and staying in squalid conditions. Gave me a bad first impression. I relocated to a better area of town, and I have been going about on walks. People seem to be nice enough, at least on the surface, and I have met some very nice people. Met one of my QQ girls, and we went out to quite a few places together. I'll spare some of the details because series of tubes has eyes, ears, and possibly, teeth.

I think that I like it here, at least for the time being. I'd love it more if I had some skin bleach, that's for sure, but this is pretty good, at least a good change from my mundane life in America, for now.

Yeh I couldn't recommend China for black guys honestly.

I've spent a lot of time in Shanghai and Beijing. I've never seen black guys pull Chinese girls from night clubs, even though there are quite a few Africans and a handful of black Americans there. BM/Chinese girl couples were also very rare to see as well. I think I spotted maybe one, and the girl was not so great looking.

I've also had a few Chinese female friends or women I was out on dates with tell me they disliked black guys and Indians.

However, you'll see a lot of African guys with cute Japanese women in Tokyo on any given day from what I've seen and heard. Japan is where it's at.

What kind of defeatist attitude is that, Kokujin? I need to give you a swift kick-in-the-ass to wake you up from your negative feelings. If you can't get a girl in China, then you're totally hopeless.

I've seen all kinds of guys get girls here...and you're telling me you can find one? LOL.

ABCDavid hates me because I am Black for sure, and everyone else will be like "Look at me, I can get Chinese girls and you can't because you're Black".

That is why I do not like to hang out with other expats. It was the same way in Japan, except for the fact that back in 2007, Black guys were considered somewhat cool there and could go off to our own areas where a few girls dug us.All of you guys saying Black guys still do well in Japan these days don't know shit about boxing. Japan is probably he worst place to be now actually, since Black guys are no longer cool there, it's much more expensive, and it's in a cultural decline. The Hallyu places Korea on the ascent, Taiwan is poised to be next, and China has its economy.Japan reminds me of Black people; around the world, people remember classic anime like DBZ and Doraemon, but Japan itself has lost its luster, similar to how some remember Tupac or Marvin Gaye, but Black dudes are not cool anymore (in the few places that we were ever seen as cool to begin with).

Even if I do not get girls and have a shitty time, I can honestly say that I have met some very nice Chinese people, and have had a pretty decent time this week that I've been here. I do not regret it, even for that experience, and for that change from my mundane existence in the US. I will try to get some skin bleach so I can have a great time here; if not, I'll just swallow some bleach and be done with it.
