Russian Prison Systems

Post by NorthAmericanguy »

This is a very good documentary about Russian Prison systems!

"The Mark of Cain documents the fading art form and language of Russian criminal tattoos, formerly a forbidden topic in Russia. The now vanishing practice is seen as reflecting the transition of the broader Russian society. Filmed in some of Russia;s most notorious prisons, including the fabled White Swan, the interviews with prisoners, guards, and criminologists reveal the secret language of The Zone and The Code of Thieve."

I'm not trying to start a conversation but I just wanted to say that in this video many of these guys talk about how things were in the 1980's, and how back then men were a man of their word and so forth. They also speak about how the young kids of today have no morals (even within the criminal world) and that the young kids are all about money and drugs.

Well, the interesting aspect to what those men were describing is that the same problem is going on here in United States. It looks as if the whole world within a few generations has abandoned the old moral codes in favor of money and materialism which now seems to be the cause of such degeneracy we see in our respective cultures.

Very true. I must say that the code among inmates here in American is very strong. If the laws and rules an inmate population forces upon themselves were followed by the everyday citizen we would have very few if any of the problems we do now. The rules are simple and punishment is given out quickly. There is no appeal, no stay in the eleventh hour. It is a mans world run by the strong on both sides of the fence. There is no place for manginas or mama's boys. You must be a man of your word and demand respect for this is truely the only commodity you possess. I have walked this line and know these things first hand.

But You Must Remember that it is The United Socialist States of America which has The Highest
Incarceration Rate ever.

Even Higher Than Both Russia & Ukraine.
