Groups of Russian women flocking together in public places like cafes and restaurants have become commonplace nowadays. This regularly occurring phenomenon that has plagued the country including its major cities has steadily grown since the decline of the Russian man and their values.
In the face of male population shortage, you would think that Russian men are prized and valued, but they are the total opposite. They continue to be eclipsed by their female peers in education, career, and even hygiene. Even when surrounded by the beautiful women, they are known to be prone to abuse, alcoholism, and unemployment.
Russian men have been outnumbered by these dazzling females who all look like they come out of a spread of a magazine, or from a photo shoot. This means to say that with the gender ratio imbalance, men are rare, but the eligible, marriage-type ones are rarer still.
This phenomenon is a recurring topic among Russian women in places where they gather. Apart from bemoaning the lack of Russian men in social atmospheres, they frequently recount their experiences, especially about what they endured with their first men in their lives - their fathers.
Despite being highly educated, moneyed, and successful, these women are distrustful of the relationships they would have with any Russian men because of what they went through. It’s still the same old story: they grew up witnessing the actions of their drunken fathers and all the horrors associated with it.
Stories vary, but the elements are similar. Mothers physically and verbally abused by inebriated husbands and siblings neglected with a side of financial securities which spur them to the vicious cycle of drinking themselves to oblivion.
The girls also noted that the local men are insecure and feel threatened by successful women like them. Russian women find that foreign men are easier to date, because when they get with them, they are treated as equals.
Depressing thoughts of bleak futures aside, many Russian women have decided to grab their lives with their own hands with respect to financial security, cynicism, and their dreams of fairy tale romance. For them, the answer is simple: marry foreign men.
With this, the market for marriage minded husbands has been created. Russian women sign up in droves to mail order bride sites, or collectively show up during international group tours. It is during these occasions that they have opportunities to meet and date foreign men.
Sigh...one of the reason why in certain countries men are still men and women are still women is because of old values and male dominance. Russia to some extent is male dominance. Places in Asia the same. although it is changing.
Everything you wrote you can say the same about women in Asia(name any Asian country). The Asian men are too old fashion and want the women to be submissive. Guess..what western guys that go looking overseas want the same too. If western guys wanted a liberated feminist he would stay in the west.
I'm not condoning abuse or misogyny but there was a time even in the west men can be men. BUt it changed.
It is true that the population in Russia is about 86 for men : 100 for women, more women than men, however it should be noticed that the Russian population is scattered over a very large area.
To meet Russian women with honest intention and willing to go with you as a foreigner is not so easy. If you really want to search around, the distances are considerably long and most cities are rather small. There are only about 15 cities with a population of more than 1 million people, and Russian population is still declining.
If you look around Siberia, where people are known to be by far more honest than in the Western European part of Russia, you should know enough Russian language to communicate, and be aware, this is not a cheap travel either and might be rather time-consuming.
If you are living somewhere in Europe, maybe a Russian woman from Siberia is a good choice, otherwise I am not so sure about it.
You have to take the woman out of Russia in most cases, as your chance to find a good employment/long stay in Russia is rather questionable.
If the Russian man and also Asian man as mentioned in the above comment is really so 'old fashioned' and these women are so submissive and even mistreated + the usual feminist outcry of misogyny - I think this talk is by far over the top.
I failed so far to see this kind of Russian people as mentioned above and there are many Russians showing up in South East Asia - even living in the same condominium-building where I have my rooms in Pattaya/Jomtien.
However you will notice that they are showing up very frequently as a family in case of older men, and in case of younger men you will notice clearly that they do not mix with local bar girls, but bring their own girl friend with them. There are almost no single travellers among Russians.
That's not really a bad thing.
Maybe it's because Russian women still have values. It's usually men from Germany England and some American that do the solo sex tourism stuff. Some Japanese too.
You are aware that prostitution is ILLEGAL in Russia, right?
