Dismal statistics on Russian women relationships

If you go to Russia or the Ukraine on a tour, you are meeting a woman that you know nothing about and you can’t even speak her language to communicate with her. Then, when you bring her to the US on a fiancée visa, you have 90 days to decide whether to marry her or not. Add to that, the tours and English speaking agencies are attracting women who want to go to the United States for better economic opportunities. Are you going to marry a woman with whom you can’t even have a normal conversation, and you have virtually no time to see how she behaves in the long term? You marry her and don’t even know if she likes you. This is crazy. But desperate guys are convinced through glitzy marketing that this can actually work. It’s the perfect marriage of Russian low ethics with good old American capitalism where your only protection from harm is caveat emptor. When there is a need and money behind it, American capitalists will always provide a solution and convincingly market images and explanations showing that it works.

Foreign Marriage Statistics

A few guys have blasted me for the statistic of foreign marriage statistics that I have on my Facts page. Well, here are the official statistics from the US government (uscis.gov) for the year 2003.

3889 K-1's (fiancée) entered the USA
54.0% left the USA within 6 months
28.2% left between 6 months to one year
17.7% lasted more than one year

1546 K-3 (spouse) entered the USA
70.3% left the USA within 6 months
22.6% left between 6 months to one year
7.1 % lasted more than one year

so only only 10 percent of filipina marriages last also? im assuming these stats are all countries combined?

One thing you have to know about Russian and Ukrainian women is that they don't value thrift at all. They think that thrift is a sign that a guy is having financial problems. And they have no shame about asking a guy about his financial condition. For example, one Russian lady asked me if I made more or less than 80K per year. Another asked me whether I own or rent. I'll stick with Filipinas, thank you very much.

I don't get the Russian mail order bride industry. I was a child when the cold war was still going on. Reagan called Russia the 'evil empire.' I hears stories of the state having a lot of influence over little kids, using them to spy on their parents if they did not follow the Communist agenda, a nation of atheists that followed a harsh political philosophy.

Now, just several decades later, Russian women are supposed to be more family oriented than western women? Thanks for sharing those divorce stats to those considering Russian women.

That's not to say that an individual Russian woman couldn't make a good wife. My wife had met a couple, the husband American, the wife Russiah, while apartment shopping. They were looking at the same place. She ended up inviting the Russian to a party. I spoke with her for a while. She told me how her husband had, years ago, gone to Russia to find a wife. The girl he went there to see had accepted a marriage proposal for another man, so he hired this woman to be an interpreter and tour guide. After two weeks of her taking him to different places, he proposed. She decided to accept, and apparently they have been living in the US every since. I don't know his perspective on the marriage, but she seemed kind of sweet and demure. At least I know she stuck around for the marriage. But she wasn't out trying to find a man online as far as I know. So the chances of her being out to scam western men is slim.

I agree that certain Asian countries are a better place to look if you want a culture that is more suitable for marriage. There are cultures where divorce is seriously frowned upon, virginity is considered unacceptable, where a woman is expected to cook and take care of the home and family, and where women consider it their responsibility to submit to their husbands and respect them.

Of course, cultures like this have their mentally and emotionally unstable women, selfish individuals, and prostitutes. Coming from a good pro-marriage culture doesn't guarantee the individual woman will be a good wife.

agree its a ego blow to have some poor girl mooch without a care in the world. eventually you will resent her if she is more concerned about how to spend your money than save it.

These places in europe and russia are brutal. the women and guys are both brutal. even the porn is not my style. Better to stick with asia. i dont get the fascination with latin america either those women are a hardened version of asians.

Probably because those women are so good at deception. A hot young lady can make an old but rich western dude think that she's in love with him, when really all she wants is a green card. The old dude believes that it's true love because that's what he wants to believe.

Also, there are matchmaking websites with thousands of profiles of model-quality women who say that they don't care about age, appearance, weight, etc., and again, guys will fall for it. I should know, I used to be that gullible myself.
