First Impressions - Russia

Listed below are some of my first impressions and observations during my first trip to Russia in the year 2000.

I went through an agency in Tver . ( formerly Kaliningrad ). About midway between Moscow , and St. Petes , Tver has a population of about half a million , with over 25 institutions of higher learning . As a result , the city attracts a very large number of young students . Half of which are young , lithe , beautiful , female students . ( wink ) .

* There are some big people here . Not big and fat , just- BIG .
* People dress very nicely here .
* Russia may be known for it's harsh winters , and rightly so , but in July , it can be HOT ! Like 90 , with 90 % humidity .
* Many women make their own clothes , and apparently don't have many options in the variety of material they can use . Some kind of paper-thin material that only comes in light peach , and light , light green was the most common . In fact , you can very often see thru it . And in fact , I very often did ! Many times while walking a date down the blvd. in the mid-day sun I would discreetly be gazing up my date from head to toe . Since many Russian women don't bother with pesky bras ( at least during the summer months ) , I would often see nipples , navels , and dark colored panties .

* During the day , my prospective dates would either be at work , or at University . So , my female interpreter and I would stroll around and visit cafes'. I always insisted on paying for my interpreter . Since we could both enjoy a nice breakfast or lunch for roughly 4 - 6 dollars , it wasn't a big deal . One morning , while we were at an outdoor cafe , 4 Russian women came up and sat a the table next to us . Each one was pushing a baby stroller , each with a baby inside . I figured that they were all friends , or maybe part of a new mothers club etc. Anyway , they all ordered up Baltika beers , and started knocking them back . It was 9 am. I turned my head and chuckled . My interpreter gave me a questioning look . " you just don't see that where I'm from " I said . Her response - " Beer isn't considered a strong drink here " .

* One day , my interpreter and I went to one of the many parks in town . As we entered , people were walking around wide-eyed , and looked for the most part to be in shock . I noticed a trash can was knocked over , and the contents strewn around . Divits of grass had been kicked up here and there . a woman was crying , and a feeling of dread came over me . Was that a t-shirt draped over that statue ? Christ , there's a lot of blood on it . What calamity had just taken place ? My interpreter asked around . " Two guys got into a fight " . Really ? All this from a fight ?
A minute later , I saw the combatants . BIG vatos . Each had a few friends helping them out of the park , in different directions . Neither was moving under his own power . I had a feeling that this wasn't the typical shite-talking , posturing , bluffing throw a punch then break it up kind of affair . I think that these two made war on each other , and to tell you the truth , I'm glad I missed the whole thing .

* There is not much opportunity for privacy in state funded apartments . As a result , there were many times while out on the balcony of my rented apartment , that my daydreaming was interrupted by the frenzied , animalistic sounds of " young love " . Next door ( on their balcony) , behind the dumpster , in the freaking stair well , on the riverbank etc. This might not be so different than what goes on here in the city except for one thing . There apparently is no fear of getting caught , no shame , or negative stigma . Must be a European thing .

* My rented apartment faced the Tamara river . I'm being very gracious in calling the Tamara river a river . It's very small , and horseshoes into the Volga , which is very much a river . Anyway did I say that it can be very hot there in July ? Yes well Russians like to flock to the river when it's hot . Many of them end up nude . Many Russian guys like to rock the European speedo , which would get them laughed off the beach anywhere in the western hemisphere , but let me tell you , they are very much in style in Russia . Some men , most women and kids , naked along the river . Many times while walking to the ageny , there would be naked people everywhere . And there are not many beaches along the Volga , at least in the Tver region . No matter any spot is cool . among the reeds , next to the bridge , next to the Karl Marx statue . Just assholes and elbows from evry availible place . Also , Russia apparently imports no tanning lotion what-so-ever .

* Lastly , I'm an average looking guy . In Russia , I was a rock star . I could have had a different woman every night I was there . ( 3 weeks ) . I slept with two women . There were two reasons for this : 1. I didn't go there for sex . I went to meet a quality woman . 2. I didn't speak Russian , and the majority of women didn't speak English . That means all communication went thru one of my two interpreters , who were both females , and both very nice , sophisticated , professional women . I didn't have it in me to tell my interpreter , " Hey Olga / Natasha , tell this girl , I want to take her up to my apartment . "

Anyway , I hope that you fellas enjoyed reading this , take care & happy hunting .

Speaking of exhibitionism, I was doing my ex in a park in the summertime up in Toronto, Ontario, Canada back in 2005 and was caught by a group of German tourists and they did not call the police and I was continuing to eat the girls p***y right on the park bench and she and I were both buttnaked in the nude in the daylight.

Sounds like I would love to do mother Russia too.

Thanks for the info Kapinga626. I keep hearing how "dangerous" Russia is especially in the big cities and how the police can stop you and try to find something wrong with your passport (and then charge you money if you want to get your passport back). Being out at night by yourself is supposed to be a bad idea in big Russian cities.

However, I still want to check it out. I plan on learning Russian soon and look forward to it actually. I took two years of spanish in high school and still remember a lot of it. I might bring my video camera too (like Winston did) so I can bring back proof that Russian women are more open and friendly than American women!

I might name my encounters in Russia after one of the James Bond films, "From Russia with love." lol  Check out this video a guy made when he was Russia that shows just how many hot women there are!

Sure thing . I had heard stories as well , before I went . I never had a problem with anyone during any of my trips there . I got stared down at a club once , but that was it . Russian cops are known to look for trouble , and some are quite bad . There seem to be a lot of them in the Tver region too . I also know that I probably stood out some , and I'm sure they knew I was a foreigner . I never once got hassled by the cops .
I think it would be great if you learned Russian before you went .
I went out at night quite often , and again - never had any problems . Then again I was always with someone .
Anyway , I'm sure that you'll be just fine , and I wouldn't worry about anything if I were you .

That's why I want to travel with at least one other person. There is safety in numbers, traveling alone can be dangerous.
