I am from Cali, Colombia and live in Bogota like 10 years.. when i see the description that Winston made about american women i only was seeing the same about colombian girls.... in colombia, unless you are european type.. you have to work hard to get a girl.. i cant remember a girl who didnt have at leat 2 o 3 guys trying to getting her.. we colombians move in clicks.. if you are not part of one click is also hard to meet a girl ,, the class system in colombia is brutal.. and racism is rampant.. we say that colombia it a copy of the united state but a bad one.. crime is high, girls have sense of self importance, and .. they test you .. if you are boring ( guebon..= imbecil) they dont even answer the phone.. they like guys who are like leader,, funny , TALL, who doesnt allow to be PICK ON.. if you are white boy,, its an advantage,, but if you are minority,, sorry.. and to have sex with them, if she is middle class,, you have to be her boyfriend at least 3 months... they care too much who you are ,, who are your friends, what kind of job you have,, and also the age,, once you hit 30 years old,, you are old.. even to get a job.. i dont nothing to win telling lies ,, i live in Austin since 2002 and i dont want to go back to that shithole.. !!! good luck!!!

I second this guy's observations about Colombia.

European is key to get good with Colombianas. Spend your time elsewhere if you do not fit the stereotype.

Hmmm..but from what i've heard (from you) and other people is that asian looking foreigners do alright there. I've read this elsewhere too and there's even a youtube of a korean-american guy talking about the positive attention he got in bogota.

this whole thread is why I will say that overall, if you want good girls, you should go to Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina (unless you're rooshv for this country, lol), Dominican Republic (if you like the mulatta types), and Brazil. all the others, LOL......

^that. which is why I am not going to waste my time in the new world and just sail back to the old world and settle in either continental europe or in a mediterranean country, since I look like a North-African.

I think it is the same all over the entire world. If a woman is in her fertile years, she has 2 or more guys hitting on her very often. It is only once they hit 30 or 40 that the guys stop paying attention.

interesting. this is one of the few anti-colombian opinions. it´s valuable as it´s a guy from the country.

so should i cancel my plans for colombia. i am 40 years old and turkish so is it worth? as i am into dance i thought that country should be quite ok. though the criminality rate sounds not so well.

Although i have not personally been, i have read that people of euro, asian, middle eastern, even Indian guys have done ok for themselves. I get the impression that it gets harder every year.

I think that the racism in Latin America aginst darker and more native/indio looking people is extremely strong. In that situation, yes you would be better off in the United States. Additionally, i can't definitively say how black guys would do.

What concerns me most about Colombia is safety.

Asian guys will do alright. But it pales in comparison to the shit load of attention Europeans get.

Still better than America. I think it would reflect how you did in America.

I guess there's only one way to find out for certain. My research for this has yielded pretty positive trip reports though.

A lot of these guys are just talking out of their as ses. Take it with a huge grain of salt. It's like someone saying they know you're gonna fail before you even get there. Half of those naysayers have never even been to the place, yet they make prophetic pronouncements. F-ck them.

I agree with this. Also, it helps to ignore people who haven't experienced it directly as your ethnicity. For example there's no way in hell a guy who's not your ethnicity is going to know what the experiences of a man of a different ethnicity is in some area of the world. They may have a rough idea based on things they have heard or seen but the experience itself could be much different. There's too many individual variables. Plus a lot of guys are tools and want to rag or cockblock men of another race. This thing is really common in rooshv and a couple global dating forums i've seen.
