Well written DarkTalay! People may feel guilty if they are relaxing and enjoying themselves while others are out in the 9 to 5 rat race. There is more to life than the working treadmill and mass consumerism!

A lot of it has to do with the excesses of the Judeo-Christian mindset and
indoctrination in the public schools.

"Original Sin" and guilt-guilt-guilt are potent mind-control elements as well as
"one-ups-man-ship" and "getting ahead".

Why are all those "get-rich-quick" schemes via selling distressed property
or buying ostrich farms are so popular?

Because everyone wants to get out of the rat-race.

Why do men kill themselves to get to the top?

So they can have enough money and power to either not get laid-off or be
the one who wields the ax!
