For anyone living in NYC/NJ--is your home okay?
For anyone living in NYC/NJ--is your home okay?
Damn, that was a nasty storm. My neighborhood in Queens is absolutely wrecked. Half of the neighborhood is blacked out with no electricity, downed power lines everywhere, and trees uprooted all over the place. Lucky that there was no damage to my house, but others' weren't so lucky. The house behind me caught on fire from an exploding power line and a couple of houses in my area had giant trees uprooted and fall on their roofs. Most of the tunnels to and from Manhattan are flooded and subways are flooded with water. Who knows when the public transportation system gets fixed. Anyone else from NY/NJ doing alright? I'm just grateful I don't live near the coast area or else my house would be completely flooded.

I'm 100 percent safe and in an area that I live in the bronx and my neighborhood survived the storm and we didn't lose any power of electricity so we are doing very good.zboy1 wrote:Wow, southern NJ was really hard hit. That's good to know! Haven't heard from Erik in a while...I hope he's doing alright. And I hope well-informed--who used to post on this forum--is doing okay as well. Any other people from the NY/NJ area that I'm missing?Jvargasbronx wrote:I'm 100 percent safe and in an area that I live in the bronx and my neighborhood survived the storm and we didn't lose any power of electricity so we are doing very good.zboy1 wrote:Wow, southern NJ was really hard hit.
