How long did it take AW/WW to turn from "good" to
I sometimes hear that american/western women were great wives and mothers in the 1950's. I want to know how they reached their current state of being totally and wholly inept as wives. Was it a gradual capitulation over about 50 years and nobody really noticed it happening until it was too late, or was there a particular decade when they suddenly became trash. I would say that women born in the early 1970's were the first ones to have the seeds of evil (feminism) implanted into their minds.

The 1950's was right after WWII and beginning of the Korean War.clowny wrote:I sometimes hear that american/western women were great wives and mothers in the 1950's. There was a man SHORTAGE, so yes, the women had to be better behaved to capture a provider-slave.
There's more to history than the 50's. This was written in the 20's

Well, my dad was born in 1959 and he has a brother who's a few years older. The word Feminism didn't really exist until the 70's with the so-called "Second Wave," right? But my grandmother may as well have been a Feminist. She hated being a housewife for four kids. It really messed my dad up, so he thought he could do better by marrying a woman outside his race who was fulfilled professionally. Well that was a real mistake too and he realizes it. Instead of marrying a caged, resentful feminist like his mother, he married a free and fulfilled feminist. Two generations of Feminism in my family. With any luck my sister really won't have any kids and I'll marry the right woman to break the cycle.
Watch the film Rebel Without a Cause. James Dean does have a cause in that film. He's fighting against Feminism, but it didn't have a name yet. Truly a prophetic film.
Feminism is bourgeois privilege. Same as gay marriage. I read this wonderful metaphor yesterday; socialism leaves people starving and capitalism makes them obese. How does one live healthy?
