Asian men "most excluded" on the Internet dating scene

Post by jamesbond »

According to a survey of racial exclusion patterns in Internet dating, the most excluded categories are Asian men and black women. A survey of 6,000 Internet dating profiles by Belinda Robnett and Cynthia Feliciano of the University of California, Irvine, reportedly found that “Asian males and black females are more highly excluded than their opposite sex counterparts.

In other words, white American women would rather opt for black men than Asian males (including East Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi), although generally they tend to be more educated, more qualified, more gainfully employed and better placed in the social hierarchy than the average black male.

At the outset, Asian men are far fewer in numbers than black or Latino men, which restricts their exposure, availability and access to white women. They are also culturally alien to white women in a way that black or Latino men are not.

It is also interesting that the very reasons why Asian women are sought after by white men who care to date or marry outside their racial confines, are conversely the reasons why Asian men are probably excluded from white female preferences. Several studies, including the aforementioned survey, found white men prefer Asian women because they are seen as “homely – obedient and faithful – as compared to Asian men, who are possibly unappealing because of their reputation for being domineering, hierarchical and illiberal.

Unlike Asian women, Asian men tend to be much more authoritarian, conservative, religious and profess fealty toward their cultural values that are often incompatible with Western mores.

Among the most critical problems is the reality that many elderly folks have experienced a partnership that might have lasted for decades. Needing to comprehend the relationship game around will give an uneasy encounter to one.

It's beyond the range of the text to provide help to a man who, for any purpose, isn't able to unwind and start from scratch. Such individuals may need aid from the specialist. This brief post is made for your relationship-prepared person who doesn't know where (or how) to start the procedure.
Another hurdle to mature relationship will be that we have really not enough places open for this agegroup. Single men and ladies pubs and clubs generally aren't created with this particular people in head. Well, being only one elderly person in a pub filled with twentysomething year-olds is available to the interpretation, and is not especially endearing.

The article omitted the fact that these are Asian 'Americans'. They are for sure not hot items in the USA, but they don't want to date Asian girls in Asia, even online, do they? They don't get on VN, Filipino, Chinese, Thai sites, etc. They are all into the mindless pursuit of an illusory blond all-American girl.

So many girls in Asia ( except Japan maybe) would love to have one even more so than a white guy. But no, these so called "Asian" men are xenophobic American nationalists who look down on real Asians and want nothing to do with them.

Oh, well, then they have to deal with a toxic and brackish US dating market and keep banging their head against the wall.

LOL! That's pretty funny but kinda true. If we could walk a mile in their shoes, perhaps we would be more interested in something that looked different than the endless sea of Asian women that they are so used to seeing everyday.

They are not seeing a "sea" of Asian women in the USA. And if they want a blonde, they can look for one in Estonia or Lithuania. Or even Belarus. But most would not touch those countries with a 7 foot pole. They probably don't even know where they are located.

Well, in their own communities and circles, many of them only hang out with Asians. The ones that hang out with diverse groups are just stuck in the matrix like most American men. Most have no idea there are better options. Then we also have that other problem of, guys that have been told or shown a better option, still refuse to unplug. I think all Western men, especially Americans are struggling with this. Why expect any Asians to be any different than the numerous stubborn black and white guys here? Also, few guys ever think about EE. EE has a scary, old crazy uncle in the attic reputation and feel to it.

More of them go abroad for Asian women than most think. Like Jboy on HA, their parents try to coerce or convince them to get wives from their home country. Only those "Rotten Bananas" seem to be the ones resisting. One Vietnamese buddy of mine was married to a white American girl for around 10 years, and she nearly ruined his life and his kids. His money too. Funny thing is that he used to tell me he is only attracted to hot blondes and Asian women were too boring or thought he was too wild and crazy. He worked in an semi-entertainment industry.

Now he is engaged to a magazine model from Vietnam, who treats him like a king... Funny how life changes.

The other funny thing is that they tend to wake up faster than other Americans, so it can't be all that bad.

This is a "menstruation article" that seems to come back every so often, asking why Asian men & Black women don't do well on US dating sites and why they don't just get together. The demographic shift has already changed, and the interracial coupling here in LA that's slowly sneaking up the charts is Asian & Latino/Latina.

A lot of my asian guy friends have dated out, usually to white women. The ones who are successful are highly americanized and defying of the asian male stereotypes (nerdy, shy, FOBish, not interested in sports...). The white women they hook up with skew the same way the white males who date asian women tend to skew: laid-back, nerdy, quirky, a bit different from the "all-american" vivacious young white person.

I have one asian buddy who has been hung up on trying to get vivacious, athletic, all-american white women and still to no avail. Heck, even most white guys couldn't get those girls.

Yeah, its frustrating for "normal" asian-american guys to date hippie, goth, chubby white girls. We're around so many normal average white-american girls yet they still don't want the assimilated asian guys. I think one of the deal-breakers is often religion, christian girls want to date christian guys or catholic guys; and most asians are not christians.

Oh yes... just as over 1 million Taiwanese have moved to China, over 1 million Chinese now reside in Africa.
