What software or platform are you using to screen stocks a/o back test ideas?

The ones I've used in the past (like ami, tc2k, etc) let you put in the screening criteria (and even let you code your own indicators) and they would sort through the database(s) and return the tickers and back test results.

Trying to make money with individual stocks is impossible to do consistently. Academic research has shown that even the experts do no better than chance. This can be proven because past performance does not correlate with future performance. A monkey throwing darts at a list of stocks will do just as well by random chance. The only free lunch in investing is diversification, in other words, index funds.
