The myth of sexual freedom in America
I agree with Ghost. You can save money living at home with your parents. Also, you are more focused because if you are able to get a American woman as a date/gf, you will have to spend money on her. I am able to save more money living at home and with only hanging out with friends sometimes, you can definitely focus on living abroad.
I am thinking I need to go leave again as if I can get beyond my fear of the unknown (establishing a business in a country) I believe I will do well.

Sexual freedom for a lot of men in America is a myth. I read that in the US, 20% of the men are sleeping with 80% of the women. Most men are either getting laid very infrequently or not getting laid at all.Winston wrote:The myth of sexual freedom in America

“***If you grew up in the West, you may have developed the idea that sexually, it is very free. In a way, it is, but in order to enjoy the "sexual liberation" of the West, you cannot just be an average Joe. In order to meet exciting and beautiful women, you have to be either super good-looking, tall, and handsome (and young, too) or be super successful. That means that a small percentage of men enjoys this kind of life and a big percentage lives lives of drudgery and hard work. in addition to all that, there is a great deal of ageism in the West- unless you have a glamorous job as a senator or a movie star, meeting younger women if you are over 40 ( in some cases, over 25) is also not an easy proposition. In other words, for an average bloke who is middle income and middle aged, life can be pretty lonely and sexually frustrating. That is , if you mind dating many women who are overweight or divorced with kids or plain unattractive.
Nothing could be closer to the truth. I’ve never experienced any of this “sexual freedom in America, only heard about it. It was all talk and no action as far as I’m concerned. On the other hand, here in the Philippines, I experience TRUE SEXUAL FREEDOM – the freedom to have sex with a hot woman ANY time I want, as well as the freedom from datelessness and desperation! That is something that America never provided me, giving me only stupid excuses instead.
It's funny when you watch American movies and TV shows and you see men easily meeting women and getting laid. Of course in reality, nothing could be further from the truth.

I don't know if the 80/20 translates into an actual 80%/20% statistic, but based on personal experience and the experience of others who wouldn't lie about this topic, I can confirm that getting laid infrequently is closer to the truth of the average guy that the frequency shown on TV.jamesbond wrote:Sexual freedom for a lot of men in America is a myth. I barely remember the last time an attractive woman I talked too I could have possibly gotten her number. These opportunities come up less and less the more social interactions like those that happen in school disappear into the rear-view mirror of life.

Sometimes I happen to be out late just cruising around the U.S. bar/club areas at night, and I don't even understand how people even connect with each other in their drunken state.jamesbond wrote:Yes, in the United States, p4p is illegal, which means guys have to learn a bunch of "pickup artists" routines and then go to bars and clubs and use these PUA lines on women.[/b]
Furthermore, the women, no matter how good they look, towards the end of the night are so drunk they're either falling on the ground or throwing up all over the place that it's just distasteful and unladylike. Women also travel to these places in packs, so it would be really hard to single out a woman and have a mature/intelligent conversation with her anyway.
Anyhow, in regards to sex, there is now a culture built up around sex with American women, and that is, as a man, you're not allowed to talk about sex or even bring the topic of sex up. The only thing you can do is subtly suggest that you want sex though indirect or funny comments. If you bring up sex with an American woman outright, they just strike you out and consider you sexually desperate, which to them equates being a loser.
I just don't understand how wanting sex makes me, or any other man a loser? Sex is a basic need (along with food and water) that fulfills the periodic desire to intimately connect with another human being. If I tell a woman I'm hungry or thirsty, they understand and they fetch me food or water (at no cost to me), but soon as I bring up sex, women can no longer sympathize, even in cases when I had a girlfriend.

Yes, growing up I thought that getting girls was easy after seeing how easy "regular guys" were getting girls on tv sitcoms and movies like American Pie, National Lampoons Van Wilder, The New Guy, etc. In alot of these, the hot women actually approached the guys too. And of course, once I grew up, I discovered that its the exact opposite.jamesbond wrote: Sexual freedom for a lot of men in America is a myth. Yes, clubs are the worst places to try to meet women in america. The basic setup is that women go to clubs to dance and have fun with their girlfriends, and men go to talk to and pick up women. Men pursue the women, and of course the women act like they just want to be left alone, and they know what guys are up to when you approach them. Plus of course their is a stigma to men "hitting on" women, especially at bars/clubs. And the women dress provocatively, flaunting their sexuality all over the place (cleavage, legs, high heels, long hair, face caked with makeup, and outfit dressed to kill), but like you said, if you TALK about sex, you're instantly deemed a pervert, loser, creep, or desperate.NorthAmericanguy wrote:Sometimes I happen to be out late just cruising around the U.S. bar/club areas at night, and I don't even understand how people even connect with each other in their drunken state.jamesbond wrote:Yes, in the United States, p4p is illegal, which means guys have to learn a bunch of "pickup artists" routines and then go to bars and clubs and use these PUA lines on women.[/b]

To make matters worse, and I think we have said it before that women usually get into these clubs for free all while us men not only have to pay to get in, but I often overhear that men are often harassed and physically assaulted by the club bouncers. Club bouncers get lots of free action. There was a club bouncer in England that contracted HIV, and since he admitted to having sex with hundreds of women he met the club the city had to advertise over the media to track down the women to get them to get tested.QuestionMark wrote:Yes, clubs are the worst places to try to meet women in America. "A former night-club bouncer, he boasted last year of serial sexual encounters with women in doorways and alleys. Some of them, it was said, acceded to his demands in return for entry to the night club where he worked.
Mr Robson died in July at the age of 42 but his promiscuity haunts Doncaster. Figures just published show the virus he passed on to others is still being transmitted to young people in the South Yorkshire town."

Good post! However, I would also like to add for the reasons listed above American men are the largest consumers of porn in the world!!!jamesbond wrote:Sexual freedom for a lot of men in America is a myth. Re: The myth of sexual freedom in America
TV and the movies teach that men are supposed to worship women in order to get them. So if you do as you're taught by the TV, you will fail, because real women want real men. Real women do not want the wussies that are portrayed on TV. As for women, the only women who subscribe to behaving the way that women do on TV are the sociopaths. Real women know better intuitively. Now if you have a woman who takes that stuff seriously you know she's a nut.
A good man is above pettiness. He is better than that.

Yeah the only time I got a.s.s. in Los Angeles was one Filipina-American BBW and she dropped me once she found out I had a 2000 Geo Metro (The year was 1999 so go figure how much of an a.s.s. she was). I almost got some in Oxnard, but when I went back to SF Bay Area, I was cleaning house again. Stay away from pretentious-ass Los Angeles.jamesbond wrote:Think guys in LA have an easy time getting laid, think again.

What a crock of shit some of these responders are. YES, getting laid and having access to better women is EASIER overseas. Duh!
Misery and happiness are only states of mind.
Re: The myth of sexual freedom in America
Getting laid is difficult for a lot of guys in America. Even guys who go to bars and clubs on a regular basis have a difficult time meeting women and getting laid.
No wonder why so many guys are going overseas now to meet women and get laid.
American movies and TV shows make it look like it's easy to get laid in America but it's not true.
