Russia was Chosen by God

Post by Tsar »

Here's a highlight from the must read article.
Have you ever wondered why Our Lady of Fatima singled out Russia, and only Russia, as a country destined by God for a great future, perhaps as the most Christian nation in the world?

Why would the Mother of God come to a lonely field in Portugal in 1917 and tell three shepherd children that Russia, which they had never even heard of, would soon become the first officially godless state in all of history? And why did God crown her appearances and validate her words with the most spectacular miracle since biblical times, the great Miracle of the Sun?

Russia is returning to Christianity and is rising to greatness. America is a country united in evil and controlled by Satan. Russia will not embrace the evils of the West and that is one of the many reasons why the American Government hates Russia.

Russia is the most blessed country in the world.

I had assumed that Mary singled out Russia in early 1917 because she foresaw Soviet Communism, and sought to bring it to a quick end in 1937. (Her instructions, as you know, weren't followed.)

The idea that the Fatima prophecy elevates Russia back to Third Rome status or City on a Hill status or whatever... thats a new one to me.

Interesting. I hope you're right.

I'll reserve judgement.

Show me something, Russia.

I don't know about "chosen by God" or not, but I think it IS interesting that two out of the three Nostradamus antichrist prophecies (Napoleon & Hitler) both attacked Russia & both lost in a big way.

I like the concept of having religion- definitely a focus on right & wrong. Personally, I don't think God's a hair-splitter, but some things are not splitting hairs. Christianity can be done in a lot of ways, obviously. Basically, I have the concept that the conscience is a sense on it's own, just like vision or hearing or intuition. Since eventually language has to connect to something & there's no way to say something so that someone else can't lie or twist your words, there's not much point in trying to continuously articulate right & wrong. You can only take it so far before someone whose compass points backwards just keeps saying "So?" "So?" "So?" Ultimately, they understand it's a problem & they like problems. It's like someone that lights cats on fire or something: They'll say "animals don't feel pain," but they obviously do. What else would be the attractant? They're just trying to use someone's conscience against them, because most people don't want to act the innocent.

I figure all this plays a big role in the way America does things. Aren't they always causing people problems & acting innocent? Or hiding behind people that are? Don't they start it & blame the victim? Even in this country, this is how things go.

I actually had given some thought to coming to Ensenada earlier in the year. Can't beat the climate, and a nice size. Afraid I won't have a chance to get away before leaving March 27th for a nice, long stay in eastern Europe -- probably a year and a half.

Don't know how things will play out there, but if an EE honey should want to be transported from the cold and grey to a land of abundant sunshine, it would be nice to think there's an option that doesn't include toxic American culture. So, I'd be very interested to hear your assessments of Mexico -- which is certainly doable from a budget and visa standpoint -- as a place to live, in all kinds of respects.

Congratulations on EE. Nice long stay... Excellent!

Re bringing an EE honey to MX, - my thinking exactly. No way I am going to bring Miss Swimsuit Colombia or Miss Swimsuit Ukraine to Bitch-From-Hell Central. And I figure a Latin location will eliminate some green-card-seekers if I go shopping abroad.

BTW I'll be househunting along the beaches and in upscale neighborhoods next week in case you have time to come down for a bit. (I'm starting Spanish classes after the 21st.) I'm going to get out of the barrio and live closer to the good stuff.

Update to GSJackson:

I am on the beach these days and the spare bedroom awaits you and Miss Bosnia, or Miss Poland, or Miss Thailand. Or a couple of them... not all three at once. It's not that big a bedroom.

Thanks for the invite. I'm liable to take you up on it when the weather starts getting hot in Tucson next year. I'm heading back there in late October.

Is this a Roman Catholic vision about the spiritual greatness an Eastern Orthodox country?

For a supposedly "blessed" country, Russia is facing a lot of problems. The economy is poor and getting worse, oil prices are sliding. (High oil prices are critical to government income.) The population is still
shrinking, capital flight is ongoing, its best and brightest want to flee to the west for opportunity, and the
country is ruled by a KGB era thug.
That all said, Putin is more clever than the propeller-head Obama, and the fall of the Soviet Union did see the resurgence of Orthodoxy, which seems to be a stabilizing factor.
One can hope the best for Russia however. The Russian young people I meet seem well educated, and suffer from little of the idiotic political correctness plaguing American college graduates. If Russia emerges from authoritarian rule, I think they will prosper.

A country needs an authoritarian leader to prosper. Democracy and Republicanism are two forms of government that are failures. Whenever a democratic or republic form of government rules a country, the country enters a death spiral. It is no coincidence that the democratic ideals (although those ideals are just an illusion the masses believe. Voting is inherently meaningless) of the West spawned the current state of immorality and corruption that now plagues the world. Democratic ideals always creates an evil society, it may not in the beginning, but over time every country that accepted a democratic or republic form of government turned into a Sodom and Gomorrah of a country. Harlots, whores, thieves, murderers, masculine women, thugs, brutes, and self-serving psychopathic plutocrats compose the large majority of the masses. Homosexuality, fornication, and adultery becomes widespread. Add in the "bread and circuses" as a means of appeasement, which today is the popular entertainment, celebrity gossip, the very rare incidence of a poor or middle class person being risen from poverty and paraded as an example for everyone to see, the one-sided bias media of the West that portrays our nation and our side does no wrong, the popular American sports games, and the increasing violence on television. Instead of solving problems, they try to create more problems as distractions and to profit off the decay.

Your hero Putin, the KGB thug, has looted Russia from one end to the other, and is arguably the richest man in the world as a result. It was only as China become less authoritarian that their economy bloomed, and their per capita output is still not as high as democratic Taiwan.
In South America, authoritarian Argentina languishes in default after default and its economy is always in the tank, while they have some of the highest inflation in the world. Democratic Chile, even under a socialist president, still espouses democratic vote, rule of law and property rights. It has by far, the healthiest economy in Latin America and it is by far the least corrupt country in Latin America.
Argentina of course, is just the opposite- hopelessly corrupt.
I think you idealize Russia. Their are a lot of Russians who are pretty amazing. Unfortunately, they are still ruled by thugs. The smartest, most inventive Russians will want to leave as a result, as they know that Putin and Co. can steal all they have anytime they want.

You will not be able to name one dictatorship that now Rivals modern Germany in terms of productivity.
