Despite some good local air connections between the islands, to explore Philippines still takes a lot of time, a part of it - located in the South - is too dangerous for travel alone as a foreigner - unfortunately security remains a concern, many places are not safe.

Yes, correct, most foreigners in Philippines are Asians, and the majority as far as I can say about Cebu are Koreans.

But Philippines has about 100 million people and it will remain a poor country in future - there will be always some women there interested in foreign men... White men in Philippines will remain a tiny minority.

You have touched on a big reason Koreans are coming to the Philippines- English schools for Koreans
have popped up all over- especially around Cebu City. It is not just sex tourists as one poster implies, It is very common to see families and other clusters of Koreans who are pretty obviously no sex tourist types. Let's see....it is VERY cold in Korean winters and the Philippines is seen as cheap and tropical...

I'm afraid the reopening of the Subic base may even worsen this scenario, but lets hope all of the G.I's stay around Angeles and leave the other locations alone.

I stayed in Dusit Thani in 2013 and there were nearly 100 Marines staying there for the weekend. They were training Filipino marines in the south. Needless to say the competition that weekend was fierce. Lets hope it doesn't get that way.

All of those countries have them to various levels, but they're by no means "completely ruined." In these countries, there are countless areas that are way off the beaten path, and they often have large populations too. So the effect is only like a tiny drop in the bucket.

Cambodia has been mongered extensively by hardcore Westerners and other Asians, and has a high incidence of HIV.

Burmese P4P women are popular with working-class Thai men. And Burmese mail-order brides are replacing a lot of their Vietnamese counterparts.

Vietnamese women, especially those from the Saigon area, are popular with guys from all over the Sinosphere.

just referring to their numbers in Cebu. I do know of a few yanks who have taught English by times.
In a Korean's mind, white is the real proper color for an English teacher, so they are willing to pay more for that.

This one's a no-brainer really...

Filipina's nowadays are obsessed with two things: beauty pageants and Korean soaps. I've seen a lot of Koreans in Philippine mall; most of them are tall, especially for Filipino standards but some even by Western standards. I am six feet myself and I've seen many Koreans my height and quite a few even taller. Many of the local Filipino men simply don't measure up... the Korean guys that come visit the Philippines often have the same pale, tall, slender, sort of effeminate look as those soap actors. And many a Filipina wets their panties at the mere sight. Certainly is a lot more appealing to them then some sleazy Indian guy or an American middle aged divorcee on the rebound.

Many of the Koreans are also students, which means they'd be relatively young. I've seen an entire street in Manila inhabited solely by Koreans. They got the funds, many made a lot of money back home, and when they come to the Philippines they bring both cash and relative looks, as well as by-asian-standards good looks. There's a lot of Filipina's who likes a handsome Western guy, but surprise, surprise, to just as many an East-Asian guy can be just as appealing.

I'm going to VN in December (HCM City, maybe Vung Tau too) and I am going there with the intent of finding a serious girlfriend. I might post a trip report here but I'm worried that a positive trip report will just bring more scums, players, and heart breakers to a country that's still relatively undiscovered. So in order to save a nation from bad men I will just focus my report on brothels and P4P instead so the good females (which are increasingly few in any country) can stay away.

which one is probably the safest for a white guy to go prancing around not necessarily as a monger but just to go around to places and also meet women? Preferably one that doesn't have huge human rights restrictions like vietnam/cambodia/etc.

NewLife.. India is not untouched by foreigners... The hippies and spiritual seekers have been going there since the 60's... Really only people are going to go to India for spiritual reasons or because they are interested in the culture, yoga, or something like that. India is not a big P4P destination although it may be available in some of the bigger cities... If you want upscale you will have to pay for it and have connections.. I've heard about girls charging $4000 a night at some establishments.... That is more than a years wages for 90% of Indians..
