Catholic Apologists Refute Protestantism as False Christianity and Their "Saved by Faith" Doctrine
Re: Catholic videos refuting Protestantism and "faith alone"
Gnosis or anamnesis is necessary for salvation. The Christian tradition of seeking for this was purged by the early Catholics who followed in the footsteps of Bishop Irenaeus.

All non-Catholic religions are false. And that includes Eastern Orthodoxy.fschmidt wrote:What about Orthodox Christianity?Mr_Truth wrote:Outside the Roman Catholic church, there is no salvation.
The followers of the Orthodox church are schismatics, and heretics. They reject the Papacy. They reject the last 13 councils of the Catholic Church. They allow for divorce and re-marriage. They must convert to Catholicism to be saved.
Re: Catholic videos refuting Protestantism and "faith alone"
It is true that Protestantism is evil and corrupt.Cornfed wrote:Surely we can agree that both modern Catholicism and essentially all modern Protestant denominations are completely corrupt and evil.
OTOH there is no such thing as "modern Catholicism." One may just as well talk about "dry water."
The Catholic church is incorruptible and indestructible, despite the efforts of modernism.
The Catholic church today exists only as a remnant. But, according to St. Athanasius: “Even if Catholics faithful to tradition are reduced to a handful, they are the ones who are the true Church of Jesus Christ.”
Re: Catholic videos refuting Protestantism and "faith alone"
Please note that what is called the "Catholic" church today is a counterfeit church. It is not Catholic at all. It is the Vatican II sect, led by anti-pope Francis.Cornfed wrote:Surely we can agree that both modern Catholicism and essentially all modern Protestant denominations are completely corrupt and evil.
Re: Catholic videos refuting Protestantism and "faith alone"
Yes. The doctrine of "faith alone" is precisely why Protestantism is false and evil.Cornfed wrote: The passage clearly indicates that faith without works is useless and in fact not proper faith since faith is perfected through works.
It is true that one must have the faith to be saved. But one must also do good works, in addition to having the faith.
Protestants believe that by just having faith alone, they are guaranteed entry into Heaven, no matter what evil deeds they commit. This notion couldn't be more wrong, more absurd, or more evil.
Re: Catholic videos refuting Protestantism and "faith alone"
So you want to believe that entry into heaven is about your works, but you yourself want to present evil works to God for justification, such as fornication and visiting prostitutes, and you think God will be okay with that kind of imperfect work? That will be interesting to hear that explanation one day. I would want to be sure, by opening my mind to hear the counter argument completely before I risked my soul on belief on my evil works getting me into heaven. And if you are awake, you can see that you have been twisting scripture, such as the definition of fornication and outright dismissing most of the New Testament in order to justify continuing to commit evil deeds, when your heart should tell you without even searching that God would not want a member of the body of Christ participating in fornication. I would attempt to show you how in places God took the lives of those who committed fornication, but since you can willfully ignore many books in the Bible, it would be pointless.Cornfed wrote:The passage clearly indicates that faith without works is useless and in fact not proper faith since faith is perfected through works.Adama wrote:They are simply saying that even though you have faith, if you don't have works, then you are not working for God or your brethren. Faith without works is dead, but that sentence alone proves that faith without works is a state which exists. Read it again. Faith without works is dead, but that tells you that a condition of faith without works exists. Faith does exist without works.Cornfed wrote:Paul seems to say this, presumably as a convenient marketing ploy, but even he tries to sneak works in the back door by implying that if you had faith you would be a generally good person. Jesus and James stress the importance of works. See James 2, for example.Adama wrote:Take note that all the TV preachers believe in salvation by works, rather than by faith. The Bible is clear: salvation is by faith alone. Just read every instance in the New Testament where it says either "faith" or "believe", you'll find that it is by faith or belief only, not by works. Jesus even says it Himself many times, Thy faith have saved thee.
Anyone who believes in work salvation yet presents evil works up to God for justification is an idiot. How can you get into heaven that way? But the other thing is that none of us are sinless and any sin can send someone to hell. The Bible says that even the thought of foolishness is sin. Even your thoughts can be counted as sin. So if entry into heaven is by works or faith plus works, then those evil works will condemn everyone who believes in works or faith + works.
You men here are officially condemned of yourselves, as stated in Titus.

Cause that makes sense.Mr_Truth wrote: The Catholic church is incorruptible and indestructible, despite the efforts of modernism.

The Catholic church is a tradition of men. It is anti-God and has nothing whatsoever to do with God. It is from Satan directly, and it is corrupted, which is why anyone who believes the church supersedes God or the Word of God will probably end up received God's wrath for eternity.
It's perfectly obvious to anyone who isnt brainwashed that the Catholic church is the opposite of godly. What, with their statutes of idolatry, which God says several times not to do. You are not even supposed to carve any likeness of anything in heaven, earth or hell. No engraven images. What's worse is the Pope and many Catholics will bow down and/or kiss these things. The Old Testament makes this clear. That is idolatry, which is in the first commandment.
Catholics pray to Mary and revere her. They also pray to dead people they call Saints, some of whom are in heaven, but most of whom are probably not.
They advocate for abstaining from meat, which God says clearly is a doctrine from devils.
They require priests to be celibate (ahahahaha), when God says the Bishop must be the husband of one wife with children in subjection in order to lead the flock.
God says that religious men are not to wear funny hats or long clothing. What do you see the priests and bishops doing? Wearing long robes to distinguish themselves, just like Jesus said the Pharisees do.
The Pope says a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is dangerous. They want you to believe you need the church and not God. They are about as Christian as Joel Osteen AT BEST; having a semblance of godliness, but denying the power of God.
Catholic and protestant doctrines will damn you. Read the Bible. It is clear. Faith alone.
James 2 is for those who are already saved, which is why he addresses the readers in the first paragraph as The Brethren. The brethren are already saved. Therefore he is admonishing them to get to work for God and stop being idle. It is a book about doing works. It is not about getting into heaven.

God punishes His children during their earthly lives, and they receive lesser reward in heaven for the sins which they commit on earth. He doesnt send them to hell because He promised not to. Just like being born of a woman is a one time event, being saved by being reborn of the spirit of God is a one time event. It is done. Just as you can not reenter the womb again, you can not lose and then regain salvation. Once a person is birthed, it is done. Jesus said it clear, believe and you will be saved. Who are you to contradict Jesus Himself? Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to read the Book of John
John 1:12, 3:15-18, 3:36, 5:24, 6:47, 11:25-26, 20:31 . Before you dismiss me, go read those verses in John, and tell me where Jesus says a person must do anything other than believe in Him! Don't dismiss me. Go read what God Himself said while He was on earth.

Just look at these protestant ministers on TV (TV evangelists) who are cheating on their wives, molesting children, having homosexual affairs and extorting millions of dollars from their followers.Mr_Truth wrote:Protestants believe that by just having faith alone, they are guaranteed entry into Heaven, no matter what evil deeds they commit. They believe that they aren't doing anything wrong because they are 'saved' by Jesus. These protestant ministers who do this are absolutely disgusting and a disgrace to the Christian faith.

Yes. "Faith alone" is so blatantly self-serving, it's amazing people don't see it for what it is: a pass to sin mortally, and get away with it.jamesbond wrote:

According to the "faith alone" proponents, you're going to Heaven anyway. So why not sin now, while you can? Take the earthly punishment now (which is very temporary), and then after you die, enjoy Heaven forever.
Re: Catholic videos refuting Protestantism and "faith alone"
No, those ministers probably are not saved. I would highly doubt God would let a saved person get away with that. First I would bet that God would put every obstacle in that saved person's way to keep him from committing such sin, but if the saved person was determined, eventually he might be able to do such a thing. At that point God would punish him severely, because homosexuality and adultery are both sins which are worthy of death. So if they were truly saved, they would be God's children, and He would punish them severely. Since they are not God's children because they are not saved, He doesnt discipline them while they are alive. He just sends them straight to hell. If a saved person commits such sin, the physical body is destroyed. How do we know this? Because in Paul's time, a man was in fornication with his father's woman. Paul said that such a man needs to have his body delivered to Satan so that his soul could be preserved. That means the physical body must be punished or even destroyed, because God has promised not to send the saved (His children) to hell. Destruction of the body probably takes place as various diseases and death.

One of our heroes was guilty of this. He was a married Reverend with a wife and children, yet he had hundreds of affairs each year, renting multiple sex workers for days at a time everywhere he went, with probably hundreds of women. He is even rumored to have had some sex partners who were men. Some men who participated in those orgies were other reverends.
This particular reverend never even believed that Jesus was God or that He is the Son of God. He just thought that He had a magnetic personality. Despite that, this unbeliever took the title of reverend. His real name is Michael King, but he was known by the false name of Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr.

Re: Catholic videos refuting Protestantism and "faith alone"
Sins have different punishments, but any sin, regardless how small, will send an unbeliever to hell. All sins are mortal sins, because none are forgiven based on their man-made designation. God has His own rules. He isn't going by man's rules of which sins can be forgiven under what circumstances.Mr_Truth wrote:Yes. It is amazing people would take a book as if it were fact and the true word of some supernatural being who created all when in fact the biblical scripture is just more herd control by the men who wrote it.
You would think humanity would be able to grow beyond this point, our rulers just try to use the good book as a means to meet their end goal of total world domination.
