No, it was the latter -- perfectly polite and innocuous small talk. Which makes the rudeness all the more unfathomable. I get it if it had been a balls-out "wanna f**k" deal, but it wasn't.

Well, I misunderstood. You talked about not hooking up in Romania, so I assumed this was a failed pick-up attempt.

As for the "flag" comment, a lot of men let RooshV types get under their skin and induce them to do things they wouldn't do otherwise, just to prove themselves. "That's okay, maybe you're not man enough..." (The whore version resembles "Maybe you can't afford the good things in life...") Usually, there's some kind of selling going on when you hear that kind of taunting talk. RooshV is selling his Bang books, for example. Is there a Bang Romania book and did you buy it, if so? (Just joking, don't throw another fit.)

And nothing wrong with a guy more focused on body than face, but then guys like that don't usually talk about the face. I'm NOT a leg man, for example, so it doesn't matter to me if a woman has long thin legs or short fat legs. I scarcely notice, I wouldn't mention legs in discussing something the woman did to piss me off.

Since you DID tell us about NOT hooking up in Romania and about getting come hither looks in Paris and about the "many dozens" you've "gone out with", I guess we get to hear about your failures and partial successes but not your complete successes. Okay, whatever.

You've never heard of trying to pick up a girl by starting a conversation with small talk? Try it sometime -- you might be surprised by the result. Reading comprehension really suffers when you're going out of your way to put together an insult. If you read more carefully you would have seen, for example, that in saying I didn't hook up in Romania I was answering a direct question about how many times I had.

Your third paragraph would perhaps be relevant to the issues raised in the thread if you had exemplary legs that you put on prominent display and were wondering if that was the reason you were rejected by woman after woman with unsightly legs. Go back and read the thread carefully and you will see that the legitimate issue was raised of whether approaching "down" from a looks standpoint is more liable to get you rejected, sometimes brutally.

One of the purposes of this forum is to exchange information about interactions with women of all nationalities in the hope that some of the information can be useful. I'm willing to participate in that up to the point where I talk about who I've f***ed, and I won't do that because I've always been taught and believed that it isn't a good thing to do -- the old "gentleman" thing that you may remember from long-ago pre-retirement days. But this function of the forum can't work if trolls like you are going to sit around and take pot shots at forum contributors for your own amusement, or whatever reason internet trolls do what they do. Last time I'll weigh in on any similar subject.

You were going after women you didn't really find attractive, subconsciously expecting them to be grateful to be blessed by your royal highness stooping to their miserable level. The women picked up on your attitude and gave you the rebuking you deserved. Nobody likes to be treated with condescension.

Now if you were wise, you would have stopped to reflect at why my initial post irritated you. The reason is that I hit on exactly what you did wrong, and you knew you had done something wrong subconsciously. Morally wrong, not just wrong tactics. Condescension is morally wrong. And then when you realized that you had done wrong, you would have asked yourself: why did I go after women I didn't find truly attractive and who have me no IOIs? The answer is the same as for so many men who travel. Something about travel cause us to go a little crazy and think we are sex gods and the local woman all want us. Will N Dowd is the worst example of this, but it happens to us all, and is part of why travel is exciting. We just have to be aware of this phenomenon, so as not to make fools of ourselves like you did. As for not telling about your exploits, well obviously it's crude to reveal full names or post photos of yourself f***ing the woman, but no one cares if you simply mention that you had sex. You're in Ukraine. Obviously you're there looking for women, and doing nothing else, just like Roosh. How's that working out? We know that the English of Ukrainian women is tortured at best and that the wit and wisdom of one such as yourself surely must be lost on these poor women working in their third language. Isn't it condescending as hell to be trying to get with women with whom you cannot have meaningful verbal communication? Isn't that why they won't respond to you -- they know you're condescending? This may be the most pertinent point to take out of the thread, as Yohan also noted. The culture seems a bit insulated, and the women maybe not so open to foreign men. Somewhat like we once discussed about chicanos in the U.S.

Actually I'm in Ukraine because I need someplace cheap to live in the summer, because I can't do my usual hiking and bicycle touring then (too hot). Ukraine is convenient because it's an easy hop from Spain, where I did hike in the spring. However, I would definitely like a woman, but I won't go out of my way for one, and so I don't expect to meet anyone here. Also, I speak so-so Russian, so language is not a major issue. I was also here last year. p***y hunting was my alleged reason for coming then, but the truth is my desire for p***y is not that strong. I often pretend to want women more than I really want them, as a way of motivating myself to do things I know are good for me. Like exercise, proper diet, travel, studying Russian to keep my mind active, etc. p***y hunting brought me to Ukraine originally, but cheap and enjoyable living brings me back.

I think you need to look up the word condescension and think carefully about it. Now if you really thought those women were sexually attractive, that is you felt true lust for them, and you called them ugly in your post only because that's how other people might have viewed them, then I'll apologize to you for reading too much into your post and jumping on you if you'll apologize to me for writing a post that is misleading.

Yes, my post was misleading, as are all attempts by dime store psychologists to analyze and criticize people they don't know from Adam. That was the point of my post. And the larger point -- these forums can't work if people like that are lurking in the background with insults ready at hand.
