Why European Countries Are More Open About Sex Than The USA

Post by jamesbond »

This is an Interesting video explaining why Europeans are more open about sex than Americans are. When it comes to nudity and sex, Americans tend to be prudes.

"When I think about the idea of getting involved with an American woman, I don't know if I should laugh .............. or vomit!"

"Trying to meet women in America is like trying to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics."

So, a post-Christian Europe, well on its way to its own extinction, is somehow something to automatically emulate? Couples copulating in the street would somehow be the height of culture? Europe dumped Christianity and replaced it with hedonism. It does not seem to be working out very well.

Don't envy them. Remember, if you gain your life then you lose your soul.

Zionist Propaganda. They over project sex to insane levels in the west.

Americans are free with sex, if only you freaking let them be, banning craigslist ads, backpage ads, making sting operating on prostitution isn't exactly Americans fault..its the zog empire.

No one talks about sex this much than the west. In Philippines, Thailand..Its a NO BIG DEAL at all

I personally gave up all pornographic usage 4-1/2 years ago. It's had a very interesting and positive effect. In a relationship, I finally achieved something I thought was utterly impossible. I thought of only the woman I was with, period. Even when times were rough, I never thought of another when we were together or apart. And it took no real effort to maintain.

Granted, I chose poorly for a partner and suffered for it, but I know it's possible. And I 'will' have it again. (She will likely never know that kind of devotion and desire again, but that's her problem.)

I want to want the mother of my future children. Shunning hedonism isn't prudish, it's practical.

He's talking about what's actually a parabolic shift or curve. We had a Puritan ethic - that's the main reason for our prudeness and staunchness of covering up nudity and sex.

Now, you have the proliferation of sex since the 60's.... that blew that wide open. What you actually have now, is a Protestant mindset ethic (tendency to see black and white or extreme), and this is why it's hard for Americans to handle sex, it's all or nothing. That's why they just go all in. Because of the way that we think - it's either or. That's why so many Americans can't handle it. If that was planned, that was dastardly, you've got to wonder.
It's got to do with that Puritan Protestant way of thinking. It's actually really damaging - when you add those two together, it's like dynamite. It's really bad, and it's kind of sad.

This is also why if we remained a Catholic nation, we wouldn't have struggled as much with this. It's a really interesting psychology difference.

I agree with what Eric said. We sort of have a inverse protestant expression of sexuality. This makes for some unique cultural proclivities like being the world center of pornography but also being staunchly against prostitution. Both American and Europe are sub-optimal situations. On the one hand I think I would be superficially happier in Europe, but the fact that there are no religious roots whatsoever is probably also why Europeans can't resist Muslims. Where as I would be confidant that an angry bible thumping Texan would of already killed a couple refugees if they had invaded his town.

This is really spot on. You could write a whole book around that last statement.
1)Too much of one thing defeats the purpose.
2)Everybody is full of it. What's your hypocrisy?

I take a different view. It doesn't matter if you live in the USA or northern Europe. Either God has released you or He is keeping you. Be grateful that you are not able to do these things that you envy them for. Because chances are, many have rejected God and are therefore free to sin as much as they want.

It is difficult to compare USA and EU. These are two different places with different people in this world.

Maybe better to compare the political system in USA with Russia? Both are huge countries with a president in power who can make sensitive decisions without consulting anybody.

USA is divided in various states which are operating similar to independent countries, same could be said about EU, but those states are the home of a specific ethnicity for example Germans, Italians, Hungarians etc.

USA is a legal chaos with severe problems regarding racist issues among its own citizens and a huge prison population, which is not the case in Europe.
USA is also a rather reckless society in regard of medical treatment. Simply said as more money as better your chances in the States, for sure the American dream is nothing for many people, including myself.

About sex, compared to EU and Russia and many other countries worldwide, it is true USA and also UK are very restrictive towards men only due to hateful feminism. A bit better in continental Europe, but openly said, only a bit better, not so much. It's maybe only because almost everybody has a passport, is accustomed to foreign languages and has at least 3-4 weeks fully paid vacation. Europeans are travelling much more than US-citizens, this makes maybe a difference, people in EU are much more tolerant to each other than in the US.

In mainstream society, Europe is regularly connected with energy and sexuality (French kiss, French pox, ménage à trois...) however it's to a greater degree a fantasized picture than the real world. Anyway, individuals genuinely couldn't care less about others' sexual lives, basically, the entirety of our ongoing presidents had illicit relationships, and individuals joke about it, nobody will actually get impugned hence.

At long last, there's a major contrast between the authentic catholic impact where your transgressions are "characteristic" and pardoned rather than the Puritan impact that is considerably more unsettled and controlling with regards to sex. America makes Europeans look substantially more receptive than we really are.
