All kidding aside, I don't completely agree with what he's saying. I don't believe we're all doing "worse" than 20, 50, or 75 years ago. Men alone are living 30-40 years longer than 75 years ago, and we're able to ward off many diseases that would've killed us back then. The Spanish Flu of 1918 killed more people than died in WWI, but that wouldn't kill many people anymore.

I agree that our diet is worse in some ways, due to chemicals, but better in other ways. Have you ever read "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair? It's really mixed bag: for those that choose to live healthy lives (good food choices and exercise) I think the future looks great. For those that sit on their a** and eat junk food all day, they're in serious trouble and are realistically unhealthier than people 50 years ago for sure.

The first step in a healthier life is getting out of the US rat race and putting balance in your life (good friends, family, nature, healthy relationships, etc.)

Just my 2 cents.

but i partially agree ith the fact that 70 years ago had no obesity rates like today....just because some people live longer does not make them healthier or fitter than people ho died at an early age like Bruce lee
