You are right about that. In bars and clubs the women's bitch shields are very high most of the time and for some women it's like a sport to reject guys or just to see how many guys hit on them (but they are not looking for anyone)

Sure, some people are truthful, but most PUAs would stretch the truth to make it seem like PUA works. I think its more important to focus on being a good person, then to single out one activity in your life, like PUA. For example, if you can reduce your general level of anxiety and fear, this effects your mind and thus your entire life, and not just one small slice of it. It's good to do anything you can to reduce shyness, which is a form of fear, because it screws up your entire life, not just romance, but also your career. When you become more truthful, you free up alot of free energy, and you are stronger and less vulnerable to attack because you have no false image to prop up, and lose the fear of exposure. When you let go of anger, you stop alot of unnecessary suffering, and free up energy that can be used to solve problems. From an Eastern philosophy perspective, we have an original pure nature, but by the time we are adults it gets covered over with a mountain of crap. The meditation cure, is to not change things, but to let go of all the crap. This is basically also the same as the deconditioning process described by Pavlov - the crap is a result of small and big traumas etched into the brain by classical and operant conditioning. If you have a serious meditation practice, you will only need six hours of sleep, because the reactivity of an untrained mind takes up a significant amount of energy requiring more sleep. If you can reduce the tensions in your mind, your entire life works better.

The big limitation is that these guys are choosing women from the United States. And good luck finding a good looking woman in the US who isn't stark raving crazy and good marriage material. I think what guys forget sometimes when they disagree with a buddies choice of lady is that:

1. Some girls can have a unique charm that makes them very desirable.

2. Some girls are really good in the bedroom and are open to doing anything.

This is the problem we have in america, tehre are so many fat chicks and so few hot thin chicks, that you see a surprlus of guys getting at the same woman. If you want a fighting chance to get laid, get at girls who don't have much of a competition (fat chicks).
