People who camp outside for movie tickets and grand openings... This is why the world is f***ed up! People throw all their energy into fantasy rather then camping out, at say, the White house until our troops are sent home.

In Japan the cosplayers can just buy pre-made outfits and try to look good. In the west there's more emphasis on making the outfit yourself -- you get more credit for doing so. This guy's outfit is somewhat crude, but he made it from scratch and won admiration from many fans:

IMO fantasy and make-believe is quite fun, so long as people know when to put it down and where to draw the line with reality. People who indulge a little too much in such things allow it to interfere with their lives (or having a life in general). Look around the forum and you can probably spot some folks who probably spend a good part of their day obsessing over how much they want to hate something.
