Hello There From Bambi!
Well, hi! I'm Bambi. I have always lived in America, and have never left. But I'm in the process of obtaining my passport so I'll be able to. I was going to acquire a Fiancee Visa, but that fell through unfortunately. I'm sure you all can deduct how it ended. : P
I took seven years of Spanish and one year of French, but I am fluent in neither of them, however - I can read both pretty well and am currently reteaching myself Spanish and after I've tackled that, I'm going to go for French. I'm incredibly interested in learning as many languages as possible.
I would love to live in the U.K. for a portion of my lifetime as well as Ireland. But I would also love to travel the world.
I'm 20 years old and live in Vermont right now, but I move back and forth between here and Rhode Island quite often. I'm also very well known for hopping all over the U.S., despite how it aggravates my family.
I've come here for support, because nobody in my life really understands my desires to leave. I can't explain it either. I just live for new and exciting things. I'm an adventurer, I reckon. Always have been! Ever since I climbed my first tree right to the top and peered over the surrounding apartment complexes.
I feel like there's a great sense of community and understanding here. Some good friendships going on. I hope that you'll extend those arms to me.
As you get to know me, you'll find that I'm smart, funny and endlessly caring. I'm fairly resourceful, too. I have an amazing knack for turning disaster into opportunity. But those are stories for another time.
All my best,
xo

Hello Bambigenes! Yes, I know the feeling you're going through. I was longing for adventure too when I was younger and wanted to travel the world, so I joined the Air Force and got lucky! I ended up being stationed in the U.K and I got to travel around all over Europe. That was fun! Anyway, that was 13 years ago before September 11, so I don't recommend anyone join the military now. Anyway, yes now that I am stuck back in the United States with no job and no prospects, I want to leave again. I hate this damn country and what it has become! It's a damn police state, and yet, you still have a lot of sheep in the country and they look at you strange when you tell them this country sucks and you want to move overseas. Don't let them discourage you. A lot of people on this forum have done just that, and moved overseas. I lot of them seem happy with their decision. I'm hoping to do the same too...soon.

Hello Bambi
It's nice to see another woman in the forum I've been wanting to travel the world since I was in middle school. I got the inspiration from my oldest sister who was in college at the time. She studied abroad every summer and showed us pictures of her travels. She went to Russia, Spain, Belgium, Italy, The Netherlands and I think Germany. I'm in college now but haven't studied abroad. I have 6 months of college to go before graduation so it's too late for me.
I want to travel the world one day and perhaps live outside too. I thought of Mexico because my family is from there. I hear it's pretty easy to get dual citizenship. I'm weary of Mexico because of the drug cartels. I want to look at other countries/options before deciding.
Anywho, welcome to this forum! I hope you stay around
