Ok I think I've finally stopped those spam bots

After installing the mod described at:

where you put the question "How much is 5+2?" in the registration field to stop the spam bots, as they are not programmed to answer that question, I think we might have finally stopped those annoying spam bots that have been taking up a lot of time from me and the moderators to clean up.

I don't know. It just looked appropriate (all those pointy forks look like mean little spam-catchers, don't they?).

Not really. I'm afraid that George Lucas will turn it into feeling like a ridiculous videogame with a CG Harrison Ford swinging from post to post like Spiderman. After the abomination of Stars Wars Episodes 1,2, and 3, I don't trust George Lucas with anything anymore. Grrr. I should post a glyph of warding against George Lucas!

By the way folks, back to the spam issue. A still spam posts are still entering the General Discussion folder since I implemented the new mod to stop the spam bots. But so far, all the ones I checked were registered BEFORE I implemented the mod, so I just deleted their profiles.

So the already registered spam bots can still return, but not as often and I can just delete their profile if they do, so that I don't have to create a huge ban list.

Also, if you try to edit your profile, you will notice the humanizer question at the top "How much is 5 + 2?" too. You can answer it but even if you don't, you can still submit your revised profile. The humanizer only requires the correct answer at the registration page, even though it still appears on the profile page. At least that's what I found when I tested it.

But of course, computers aren't consistent and some people still have trouble even with basic registration and email verification.
