However, the average AlJazeera English reader is most definitely NOT the average American!

AlJazeera's news is too intelligent and disturbing for the average American. Most Americans just watch CNN or their local news channel to reinforce their previous conditioning.

So far the Chinese strategy has been brilliant. They are quietly forging alliances to buy up the resources of the world while the US is mired in a never ending series of debt producing wars in the Middle East.

"Trying"?

China has had nuclear capability since 1964. They simply didn't build as many as US and USSR during the Cold War.
