I'd say the B-movie with James Woods & Deborah Harry, 'Videodrome', had scripted the current decade, almost 3 decades ago. Same goes for 'Network', with Faye Dunaway and William Holden, back in the mid-70s.
Think about this for a moment ... in our day-to-day lives, we can't discuss half the topics on Winston's forum, without public ridicule and ostracism.
Thus, technology, as a master-servant, has already established its semi-permanent beachhead, as a type of VR community. So the question is ... if this is human dialogue, a bunch of electronic forums, then haven't we already lost most of the fight? Someday, when someone at IBM, Google, Teradyne collects my thoughts and develops a program to mimic my behavior, would anyone be able to tell who's real and who's not, on an internet discussion board, ever again? And if so, are we only talking about 2020? And not some distant future, like 2110?
You're getting into canned-philosophy because of limited information. It's much better to do a little research and collect all the pieces of the puzzle so you can make informed conclusions. I'm pragmatic because I see the true purpose of this agenda, not some distortion they created for me. I'm not into making grandiose philosophical claims like saying technology by its definition goes against humanity. What I'm concerned about is rooted in reality. We are not in control of what technology comes up. But someone is. And when that someone has an agenda, philosophy ceases to be relevant. The Jewish Bolsheviks welcome "intellectuals" to argue about which is more ideal, Socialism, Communism, Anarchy, and all that other bullshit, because it's a lot of hot air that ceases to matter the moment revolution happens and the true purpose of it all is revealed, control.
A few elite families want to live forever. They decided on this over 100 years ago. To become gods is the logical conclusion of Gnostic doctrine, also known as Satanism.. The 20th century was them getting us, the worker bees, to create technology to eventually facilitate their goals. You can read their writings, (H.G. Wells, Charles Galton Darwin, Fabian Society, Chatham House and that whole world), the technology we have now was demanded by them while still in the Victorian era. Straight from the horse faced Jew's mouth,
Ray Kurzweil explains he wants to live forever and resurrect his father. Now that they have all the tools they need for life extension, cloning themselves, and genetically engineering slave classes (worker bees who will never rebel), or building efficient robots, or a mix of the two (i.e. Borg). While humanity has become obsolete to them, but you can't just kill 6 billion people over-night. We are being phased out in a variety of ways. Infertility is rising, life-span is falling, average intelligence is dropping like a rock. We've got World War 3 around the corner, the Georgia Guidestones telling us we'll all be culled, I'm sure you've heard this all before. But they want nothing more than to have the people of the 1st world nations effortlessly walk into their own enslavement. By accepting RFID implants, by disassociating and getting involved with the pseudo-life (distractions which will seem more real as well as more pleasurable than the real world). We're already seeing a generation of boys who aren't interested in real-life and sit playing Counter Strike and Call of Duty 15 hours a day. But it's a low-tech temporary solution compared to what's coming up. I don't need you to tell me how bad it's gotten. But everything we have now can be reversed and resigned to the dustbin of history. But transhumanism will lead to permanent enslavement, because how do you rebel in a brave new world future?
