Going to Phils, but can't decide where, Davao or Cebu or ?

Post by Will N. Dowd »

Greetings all!

Finally after years of talking about it, reading this website and others I'm finally planning my first trip to the Philippines! I was going to go last year, but ended up with another Japanese GF, which postponed things. My goal is to go sometime in April or May, before the rainy season starts in June in Cebu. But then I've been reading about how great Davao is and they have no rainy season, so I could go anytime. Trying to figure out where to go, right Davao seems to be the place for me, it just seems to have so many positives. The more I read about Cebu, the more people say it is turning into another Manila.
I don't really have any plans to do anything special while I'm there, basically just date girls. I have now over 3600 messages on DIA. I have become friends with almost 500 girls from there on facebook, and they chat me up at every opportunity. I'm not a bar kinda guy, since I don't drink, and I won't pay for sex directly. I'd rather meet girls on DIA and out and about, and just hang out with them and see what happens. I think I will have no problems, the Pinays seem to love me! I can't wait to go. I do have concerns obviously about food, money, scammers, thiefs, etc...
I do like to cook my own food, so I'm thinking a Pension with kitchen would be perfect for me, if any one knows of a good one please tell me. If anyone also can recommend a better destination than Davao or Cebu, please let me know.

How about visiting to both cities? If I were going to PI, I would go to Cebu. Every Filipina I ever talked to has told me to go to Cebu. Have fun!

Well I was just in both, though for brief periods of time. How long are you going for?

I wasn't aware that Davao had no rainy season. My new gf lives there and certainly talks about the seasons, though perhaps there is less rain than in Cebu. I just looked it up online and in April - June there is actually more rain in Davao, though in Sept. - Oct. more in Cebu.

Davao is smaller and from what I have been told well run by Philippines standards. Cebu being larger has more culture and nightlife. I did not find it to be like Manila at all, but who knows how it is headed in the long run.

When I was doing online dating last year I found far more Cebu girls, but I ended up with the one from DAvao, so either way I think you will do well. I certainly did prefer the girls in both those cities to Manila!! One advantage to Davao might be that I found that many girls from Mindinao were willing to meet me in Davao.

One other thing to consider. A flight between the 2 cities in less than an hour and airfares are inexpensive, especially if you book a Cebu Pacific promo fare. So go to both!

Have fun. I will be in Cebu for a day or two in April myself, though we are spending most of our vacation elsewhere.

@Will N. Dowd,

Davao/Samal is not bad. I met a drunk-ass chick at a bar in Davao City, spewed my 90-second pitch at her, got her digits, and got her to come over in 3 days with a summer dress on and no panties.

I didn't know she had no panties on until I noticed she pulled a Michele Phifer on me while she was crossing her legs while sitting on the couch in the living room. My boy KP can tell you. She did that shit in front of two Catholic Pinays whom were company in the living room.

Long and behold, she and I had gone into the bedroom and we smashed and when I was about to "nut" (i.e. have a male orgasm), she locked her legs so I couldn't pull out and I nutted inside her whole shit.

Good thing I had a vazz done before I had gone abroad. jajajajajajajaa
Or else there would have been another Tiger Woods mixed with Jon Secada mixed with Pele the former soccer player in the making.

Chica No. Dos: I have met on a Cagayan De Oro cruise ship that was coming from Cebu going to CDO. Towards the end of the cruise, I had seen this late 40s early 50s Pinay in great athletic shape come out of the shower room while we were on the cruise shipt en route to CDO coming from Cebu). We had conversed with each other, and I had found out she was living in Davao City and she worked as a fitness instructor (you guys have seen the video of me and she where the chair broke towards the end of the 3rd clip). She and I took the bus from CDO to Davao and I found out she lived in Samal (a mini island native to the Davao City coastline).

She came over the first time in a red dress looking air-tight (i.e. very ravishing damn near rapeable-looking) wearing pumps (i.e. high heels). So since she didn't speak that much, I summoned her into the bedroom and we took each other's clothes off.

Man, when I was hitting that, she cream-pied so much that I could have sold a giant can of shaving cream out of that chick. I had taken pics and uploaded them to NudeLatins.com. They took it down because it was too explicit for their own sanity.
However, she and I stay in touch 'til this day via email. Another thing, she always went to the fish market and bought a lot of seafood and cooked for me for free. I never had to ask her to get me food; she always did it. She was probably the most docile woman ever.
One time I went out to get a quick bite (it took an hour and a half because traffic was bad in downtown Davao - nothing like Metro-Manila though), and when I came, she had showed up unannounced waiting on my doorstep. I left my cellphone at the house before I had
gone out and I looked at it and it said THIRTY-TWO MISSED CALLS. Then I laughed out of shock; that was the worse thing to do. She burst out crying: a grown-ass woman. THen I had to calm her down saying I laughed out of shock because no woman has
ever done that for me before.

Chica No. Tres: KP can tell ya: I had met this one Pinay BBW from Davao at strip mall in downtown Davao. She was the only BBW I had slept with in Davao City (yeah yeah yeah I know you guys don't believe me, but it is what it was!). Although she was a BBW, she had a very very alluring pretty face. Hey a lot of fat girls have pretty faces; that holds true throughout many parts of the world. She almost turned down my advances when she was saying "Ehhhh ummmmm [almost to the point of rejection of me!]" and her friends were saying some shit in Iliigan[?] that made her say in English, "Yes. I'll give you my number" with a smile. :O)

The other clip on my 4shared of me doing a BBW doggystyle with me showing my dumb-ass smirk on my face twice in the video..yup that was the Davao City BBW I was smashing! Hey some of you guys like her big round caramel ass that had watched that mini porn snippet.

Man if you remember that video (although we did it three times until she found out I had given her clymidia that I had gotten from f***ing Angeles City BBW hookers raw), she put in work! That means that she did not lay there like a dead fish in a fisherman's bucket. She could move her p***y and suck a mean cock.
And she liked it when I nutted inside of her. I could have kept that longer if I pulled out without giving her my STD'ed-up sperm. So yeah I take culpability for my f**k-up. I should have taken my lazy ass to a local pharmacy and get that antibiotic anti-STD drug for less than 10 pesos. Everything is OTC in the Philippines. LOL!!

Yeah man. Davao City was something else. Okay no mas. lmfao!

Now I'm also thinking about Bacolod or Iloilo. Anyone here been there? I kind of want to go to a smaller, place where I'll stand out. I don't want to be just another horny white guy in Cebu or Davao. I'd rather be the only horny white guy in Bacolod or Iloilo, and go to a place that foreigners usually don't go, since its a bit out of the way. Besides, It'll be way cheaper. I think I'll stand out more in smaller towns. Do a DIA search for girl in Bacolod, it gets the most cute girls out of any search I'v tried. If anyone has any other ideas on a smaller town to hang out for 3-4 weeks and date local pinays, please let me know.

Trouble is, being noticed in a small town is a double-edged sword. I've heard that the PI grapevine is very active. If you seduce a girl then the whole town will soon know about it, and you can forget any other girl joining your harem - they need to *appear* to be good girls to their community. I think you'd be better off in a city where the girls feel less under scrutiny and you aren't being watched so much either.

Last year I did toy with the idea of finding a Filipina bride, but then I went back to looking for Chinese women.

When I was researching the Philippines I settled on Cebu. I noticed when I was in Hong Kong last year that there were plenty of connecting flights to Cebu.

I'd say that on the AFA site the Davao girls have a slight edge, but it's reckoned to be less safe for us Western dudes to visit.

Whichever city you visit there will be 50,000 odd women for you to meet, so you're not going to run out of dates  !

Between Davao and Cebu, I'd definitely pick Davao. Here's my story. Back in '08, I flew to Cebu with plans on volunteering and meeting some local women. I left after two days. I couldn't walk down the street with being hassled by people. I literally had people grabbing my arm, asking me to give them money or buy them food. I never met such aggressive people in my life. So I packed my bags and went to Davao where I spent 3 months and never got hassled at all. At least in '08 foreigners were still a bit of a novelty in Davao (not sure about now) and people were curious as to what I was doing in Davao. I'd go to the mall and I'd have clerks asking me about the presidential election. When you leave a coffee shop, all the clerks thank you for coming. All in all, Davao wasn't a bad place to be.

I've never been to Bacolod or Iloilo but from what I've read Iloilo is one of the prettier cities in the philippines. (most cities are ugly as hell). It's one of the few cities that retains some of it's old spanish colonial architecture. The downside, from what I've read, is that the women aren't as into foreigners as other filipinas. I remember checking on Filipina Cupid and sure enough, relative to the city population, there were a lot fewer women online than in other filipino cities.

Anyway, if you do decide to go to Davao, send me a PM and I can give you some info on where to find a place to rent.

People hassling you is a big problem in parts of Asia. In Shanghai I was hustled to within an inch of my life in Nanjing Road, and the same thing happens on Beijing Road in Guangzhou.

Thankfully it's not so bad in the rest of these cities. But in Asia it's a good idea to avoid anywhere that foreigner = walking ATM machine.
I was Happier Abroad for a while but Covid killed that off.

What happened that was so life threatening both in Shanghai and Beijing. I've always found them to be relatively safe cities there, much better than parts of Shenzhen. I didn't encounter a lot of aggressive type touts their either. But even if I had, I would never consider it life threatening. What exactly happened?

I always think of the scene in Dances with Wolves where Costner is in his teepee with his friend (the fierce one) and is discussing marrige to his gf. The friend shakes his head, looks around the bare teepee and says, "Well you are poor. And girls aren't free!"

I agree with Dave. Try to go visit both Cebu and Davao. Either is a good pick as I personally think the Mindinao girls are prettier (my wife is from Iligan City so I'm a bit biased). But if I had to choose between the two, I'd visit Davao.

I've also heard that Dumaguete is nice. It's a medium sized college town. Several expats live in Dumaguete.

I now have enough air miles to go to the Philippines! Air miles is Canadian travel rewards miles program. I've been saving up for years and now have enough for a return trip to the Phils. All I have to pay is the tax. One kind of annoying thing though is that they don't use Philippine airlines, so even though their is a daily direct Vancouver Manila flight, I have to fly cathay pacific to hong kong, then transfer to manila on cathay as well, adding 6 hours to my already epic journey. Nothing wrong with cathay, it's just I was hoping for the direct manila flight and to hear the philippines airlines love at 30000 feet song when boarding and flirt with the cute pinay stewardesses.
Any travel within the phils I will have to pay myself also, but since it's so cheap doesn't really matter.

Still haven't decided where to go, but was thinking of Davao, or Bacolod since I like to go to smaller more obscure places.

found this cute little place in Davao:

http://www.elriopad.com/

Anyone here stayed there, or know of a different or better place? I want some place like it with fully equipped kitchen so I can cook my own food and avoid restaurants.

I've hidden my DIA profile for now. I got over 4000 messages and became facebook friends with over 500 pinays!

would be interested to meet any fellow HA members close to where I am going to be.

I have to leave Vancouver before the end of May to take advantage of the low season air miles quota, the number of miles needed to go there jumps up 25% in june, july and august for the high season, then drops 25% again in september, october and november.

Next time I'm flying philippines airlines since I'll have to pay for it.
