Hi, i would like to ask everyone in this forum who lived or stayed in europe or russia about how do look for jobs over there.i am an engineering college student,and want to know how or is there any websites to look for job specifically about my major.do they look at gpa? do they accept foreigners? i know i dont often post but i am busy with my college and dont have much time. i am in US and is there also anyway to look for jobs in EU from here? thanks in advance

I am currently in Europe doing an international internship. I used a program called Aiesec to get a job in Vienna. It is hard for what they call Third country national (anyone who is not EU or EEA/EFTA). Basically any job you have to apply the job has to be known in the EU.

I would say a good thing you can do is look for a type of internship or try to use monster and find your country. For example Monster Germany or something similar. You can use the web job search Indeed which has helped me to find work in the US during when I was not working almost 2 years ago.

So options are that you can do:

Internship
Study Abroad (graduate from your target country as it is easier to work this way)
Search country specific job search engines and possibly find forums which are specific to the country you might want to work.
Countries have 'shortages' and you can try for a permit in these professions.

You can ask other people too for advice. Currently if you are desperate to live in Europe you can try to do a teaching job in English but it varies if you want to live in Eastern and Southern Europe. I see that most teachers unless you do a lot of supplemental work does not pay too much in the Western part of Europe.

Possibly someone can explain Russia. I can give my own advice for Europe.

Lastly, countries which have eased work permits:
UK (income and age based but getting hard to immigrate)
Denmark (Permit based on skill, age, university, language)
Czech Republic (Permit same criteria)
Austria (newly introduced Permit skill,language,age, university)
Netherlands (I believe they have a permit based on shortage occupations)
Germany (They have a shortage in professions so looking for a job should be easier)


There is also the EU Blue Card which is for skilled workers who want to work in the EU. It is almost approved and every country will have their own version. This is needed because of population shortage and countries need skilled work to come work in their countries.

going to europe is a horrible idea. they are racist, intolerant, and fascist. there was a recent news article that said that olympians going to london are not allowed to get married. thats how xenophobic they are. they think everyone is going there to steal their welfare. europeans are a bunch of stingy parasites. they think others are going there to steal their welfare, when it is really them that is going to Africa, and the world to steal

I agree that UK and the European mainland countries are racist towards blacks (any nationality) + Turks and people from the middle east. Currently, I have heard that the UK has started to drastically restrict immigration (although I never would want to live in that country).

Only thing good about the UK is their passport to live and work in virtually any country in the EU. Other than that it is not worth living their and their neighbor Ireland.

There are some countries which you can have a good opportunity to meet women and possibly have a decent life balance although it is far from paradise.

Africans and their descendants who live in North America and South America, and the UK have problems with discrimination. Also, the athletes can possibly go on a trip after the Olympic games and get married in another country not necessarily the UK.

Alibaba, you are right. That is really Xenophobic. However, the US and many other 'Anglo' countries as in Australia think the same of foreigners want to come to their country for opportunity and not for other only Tourist or Sport reasons.
