Pah, what do they know?

Shanghai was a huge disappointment to me.

Changsha should be number 1. I visited a city quite near to Changsha (Hunan Province) and the women there were just unbelieveable.

Even better - it appeared I was the only Western man in the entire Province! I have got to go back there.

Oddly enough Hunan women are hugely popular as brides for Western men. Why this is I don't know. But all I do know is that the majority of girls I've spoken to on CLL have been from Hunan Province.

Sichuan girls are known to be beautiful. But they rarely speak English. And I'm not sure I want to go to Chongqing given the politics and horrible weather.

Why on earth are the vast majority of Chinese mail-order brides from only Hunan and Shenzhen? And why are the vast majority of Colombian mail-order brides from only Barranquilla/Cartagena and Medellín?

Connections I suppose? Similarly, a disproportionate number of Chinese male illegal immigrants around the world are from Fujian.

Shenzhen and Guangzhou are packed full of migrants from other provinces. Those from Hunan tend to be the best well educated, so they learn english at uni, then get the office lady jobs that allow them to access dating sites with Westerners on.

Looks are also a factor, and I (and presumably other men) have an uncanny ability to pick out the Hunan girls. There's something about them that Western guys like.

I'd like to meet a Sichuan girl, but I've not found a single good English speaker who is also in a place I'd like to visit (i.e. Guangzhou).

Personally I think Cantonese girls are best - they tend to be quite mild. I was quite scared of my Hubei girlfriend, and when I visited her parents there was no doubt who wore the trousers!!!

Shanghai itself is the largest city, and locals are often the plurality, not the majority in the city, so there's people from all over China living there. I can understand that Western men have different tastes than Eastern men in general. Opinions, opinions, opinions.

I maintain that Shanghai is rubbish for women and also food.

OK so women are subjective, but I went to the identical restaurant chain in Shanghai and Guangzhou - guess what, the dish here (spicy cucumber) is 2x the size of what got served in Shanghai!!!! Also the Shanghai cucumber was soggy.

Also the girls here are way hotter, although I haven't seen their full awesomeness yet as it's still Winter and everyone is wearing fur coats and stuff.

There's not gonna be much difference between Shenzhen and Guangzhou girls. Guangzhou is a better city to live in if you're a foreigner because it's an ancient city and has lots of tourist sites and places of interest. Shenzhen only got built in 1979 and it's just a place to work.

But then again you can just get a train between the two cities - it takes an hour on the bullet train.

I'd say there are marginally more single women in Shenzhen as there are more migrants there - Guangzhou has a lot of native Cantonese. On the other hand, Cantonese girls are worth a look as they tend to have milder personalities and are more cultured (i.e. they don't spit as much or have rough, "working class" voices).

Hunan girls are also nice, there are so many here that Hunan Province must be like a ghost town or something!

dont go for chinese girls. just dont

I thought this community was against feminism? Chinese women are much more feminist and gold digging and materialist than the worst of American women. Just stay away from them. Even Chinese men dont like them anymore. Visit any chinese forums regarding going to vietnam to find a wife and you will see that most Chinese men think China women are too materialist

Well women all around the world are becoming too materialistic. Can you tell me how much self hatred there is in China? I hear about college students getting major plastic surgery, not just asian blepharoplasty, which arguably is not really self-hatred because many Chinese have big eyes naturally. But I mean the major surgery such as major facial reconstruction/changing. I hear that many girls in China get it before going to college. Same thing happening in Korea and plastic surgery has been common in Japan for a long time now. Anyways, are those things true concerning China? And how common is Hollywood trash or pairings of whtie males/asian females shown in China? I also hear that they have ads full of white people everywhere on billboards and whatnot.
