My understanding was that this guy recommends the use of lethal force and gives rather specific instructions on how to kill people. What he recommends is against British law.

He teaches people how to defend themselves. Any technique of self defense which doesn't give you specific methods of using lethal force in the appropriate circumstances is useless. Socialist governments don't respect the individual and don't want people to have the right to defend themselves.

"The home secretary [the U.K. government's interior minister] will seek to exclude an individual if she considers that his or her presence in the U.K. is not conducive to the public good," a government spokesperson told the BBC, confirming Larkin was subject to an exclusion order."

"The BBC said Larkin had been invited to speak at "The Martial Arts Show" conference in Birmingham on May 12 and 13, and to hold a seminar in the Tottenham area of London. Both places experienced rioting during widespread disorder in the U.K. in August last year."

"Larkin told the BBC that he thought he had been banned for arguing that U.K. law should be changed to allow people to defend themselves without fear of criminal charges being brought against them."

Same crap in the US. I studied martial arts in the US for many years and even got my black belt. However, just because you can defend yourself or others doesn't mean you're going to be given the benefit of the doubt. If some dumbass crackhead named "Jimmie" goes after you or your family with a knife/gun/etc. and you take him out, you better HOPE no one videotaped it. Jimmie's lawyer will take you to the cleaners and you will be portrayed in court as an "aggressive type" who obviously enjoys fighting and hurting people. You have an unfair advantage over Crackhead Jimmie, since you know how to fight and he's just going through a rough patch in his life. As a matter of fact, Crackhead Jimmie was just turning his life around when you broke his arm and 3 ribs. Now Crackhead Jimmie's going to need months of mental and physical therapy, probably will have PTSD for life, etc. etc. It's not just the socialist dingbats that do this crap, but the US as well.

That's why Zimmerman's clean shot to the chest has its advantage - no long fight to explain, marks on the face, or criminal witness to make up lies or sue you. I also got a black belt, and the instructor told us to avoid all fights, but for genuine self defense do deadly body blows and avoid hitting the face because pictures of a messed up face look horrible in front of a jury.

One thing that might be worth bearing in mind is that psychopaths and crackheads with guns are an American phenomenon. In countries where criminals are not trying to kill you, it's reasonable to expect you not to kill them for committing property crimes. American culture is super-saturated with deadly violence -- the p*** of violence, as some have called it. Most other countries are not, and it's reasonable of them to try to keep America's violence culture out.

What dream world do you live in? England is already violent with a massive influx of immigrants. The reason he was going to England was that he was invited to a community that had recent riots. In England, a mother saw two thugs going into her yard, she was afraid for her life and just showed them a kitchen knife from the window to scare them away and she was arrested. She had an infant at the time she was protecting. This is nuts. Apparently, also in England, you can't defend a third party. So, if you see someone being killed and you step in to help, you will be arrested. If you want that kind of mindless socialism, you are welcome to it. Europe is rapidly changing thanks to multiculturalism and innocent people will be dropping like flies because they chose to be passive rather than defend themselves - a form of self murder.

When they do start "dropping like flies" let me know. American paranoia and vigilantism is part of the culture they're trying to keep out.

I suppose by "socialism" you're referring to some sort of general ethos of public welfare, because no one paying attention could mistake prevailing economic views in Britain during the last 33 years for socialism. Brain dead free market fundamentalism has done as much damage there as it has in the US, and right now it's doing more.

Someone is being beaten to death and you can't legally go to help them. That doesn't bother you? Taking away an individuals right to defend himself is the ultimate abuse of human rights. It's great if you like living in a hive.

Please direct me to the statute or tenet of common law to which you are referring, and I will believe you. Otherwise, I don't.
