Can't speak on beer (not a fan) but you're only 1.5 hours away from Santa Barbara's wineries.

I'm a big wine fan also. Vendome liquors has great tasting all the time. Wednesday is $1 wine tasting nights with European snack food to pair with it.

Momopi, any good Sushi recommendations for a first time date in Korea Town or downtown LA? No west LA or Hollywood.

I know good sushi places in South OC but not K Town, sorry. Best I can do is provide a few good yakitori and ramen places in Torrance/Gardena area.

You could always check Yelp. If the girl lives in K Town area then she should give you restaurant recommendations.

Takes me about an hour to get to Burbank its not any issue one bus and I'm at the North Hollywood Station, that is not that far from Burbank.

There's a good sports bar I think on Victory in Burbank. If they have enough screens for college football I'd be down for that.

It takes an hour? Jeez

This place looks cheap and good but I don't think it has many TV's, I'm more interested in the good cheap German/Belgium/ West Coast craft beers they have for only $3.

I'm in San Diego. I've been planning to visit L.A. since I haven't been there yet and I'd like to meet some like minded souls in this area.

If you've been to San Diego, you know what a dating shit hole this place is! People are either stuck up or ghetto as hell here. Either attractive or fugly. There's something about this town that just makes people look like crap after they've been here for awhile. Between the UV rays, crystal meth addiction, & overall degenerate culture people age here like rotten meat.

I assume L.A. is about the same or worse. Please give me some input. I will be traveling to the Philippines before the year is out, so I would appreciate any helpful info/tips. I will also be in L.A. in the near future and would like to meet some of the posters here for a drink.

Lot's of cute hippie girls to look at also.
Been there a couple of times, I was actually going to suggest it. Gourmet beer, gourmet sausage sandwiches, the crowd is low-attitude, mostly young people working in film-industry crafts I think. No jerks/assholes at all.
