I am sick and tired of the superficial importance placed on looks by people in this forum, when it comes to foreign women. It seems that if a foreign woman isn't what you call a "9", you won't even bother with her.

Does this not make you as bad as Western women? Is superficiality not the reason why people on this forum prefer non-westernised women?

Just because a foreign woman is a "9" does not automatically mean she will make you happy. Give me a pleasant plain looking foreign woman, who has a warm heart and is sharing and caring any day - she will be 100X better than a western female with a bad attitude, regardless of racial background.

I understand if the woman is fat and butt-ugly or something like that. But for people on this forum to reject a plainer looking woman because she isn't a "9" is akin to a western woman rejecting a man because he isn't six foot tall with big biceps.

I can't speak for the men here but for me personally I think personality is just as important as looks. No one wants to date an obese woman no matter how warm her personality is. The opposite is true in that no one wants to date a hot girl with a bitchy attitude.

Western women are utterly TERRIBLE! They want a hot guy, who has money and basically everything they don't wanna work for! Even the fat and ugly women have high standards. And the handicapped, physically and mentally challenged women can get guys anyday of the week! Western men can't get any worse than that.

Some users have been to many countries, where 6-8s are common. So, you get used to them, and your standards change. Many people here, say that the hot women in Ukraine, like 7-9s are considered ugly ONSs to the locals. I shake my head in disbelief! But maybe it's true? Regardless, there's nothing wrong with looking for hot and sexy women, Everyone the world over does it.

Appearance matters and here is why:

Women with symmetrical faces (beauty is the presence of symmetry) with excellent skin tone and clear, white, straight teeth, are also the most healthy and fecund.

Beauty is a sign of good genes and reproductively ability, IOW.

It isn't superficial and never has been in the history of humanity.

Same as upright, firm breasts, a hip to waist ratio of < 0.70, and lower body weight.

Most of the guys here are geeks, nerds and cast-offs.

Well, guys bad news - your values are not ever going to be the majority values in society and they never will be.

I personally would rather be with a girl who's a little on the plain side, because she has fewer options and would be less likely to abandon me. Really pretty girls are usually after The Bigger, Better Deal, and always upgrading, if they haven't already got their perfect guy.

Voice of Reason, I completely agree with you. The reason I am looking abroad is because of the way the women act and behave. At my school here in California, there are plenty of hot-looking women that you guys would rate 8's, 9's, or 10's (whatever that means), but I am not attracted to them.

Seriously, what is this obsession with numbers. How would you feel if American women were talking about you in terms of numbers rather than more descriptive qualities. This is like judging a person only by his GPA or SAT score.

Once you actually get to talk to many women in real life, you should realize that they physical looks simply cannot be slotted into numerical categories. Everyone is beautiful in their own unique ways.

Of course, but you guys here seem to be judging women by how much skin they show and how good they are at putting on makeup. That has nothing to do with being able to produce healthy babies.

The "Type #1's" in this thread ( http://www.happierabroad.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13535 ) are very symmetrical, healthy people - most likely more so than the "Type #2's", and yet the Type #1's seem to repel American men for whatever mysterious reasons.

Googled the teeth thing, it seems you're right.

Second generation of non-organic modern processed diet yields narrow jaws and hence crowded teeth, plus other health problems.

Physical beauty has no real bearing on health in the modern age. Beautiful people do not live any longer than ugly people. Having strong preferences for "9s" is nothing but shallowness which is a very unfortunate trait to have in the long run. Women, no matter where in the world, know when they're very beautiful and seek to gain as much as they can from it. If you like plain women like me and you go for a foreign woman who is maybe a "4" by your reckoning, you can have the most unbelievable girl who will truly love you. Are we running a eugenics program here? Have you looked around this site? Most guys are in their 40s, don't want kids, and the ones that do don't seem too concerned with intelligence. I keep hearing men say the best sex they've had was with the uglier women they were with. That's probably because pretty women in our society rot from within. Erectile dysfunction and having to make out in the dark isn't really an issue when you're dealing with women in their 20s. Moreover, the most intelligent people on earth are the least fertile, and the dumbest and ugliest are the most fertile. I think that has more to do with industrialized societies and less to do with biology. Having high standards doesn't do much but ensure you won't ever be satisfied.
