Has Hitler been overly demonized/vilified and not as bad as we were told?

I agree in that I think Stalin was also crazy.
the grandmother on my Mom's side (the only one who was not in a concentration camp) hid a Jewish family in her attic
You don’t perhaps think your grandmother was yanking your chain? If true that was pretty stupid given that the Jews massacred a good part of the elite of your country in the Katyn Forest.

She wasn't yanking my chain, she was being a good person.
I am so sorry that you are so very deeply unhappy, Cornfed. I hope, somewhere in your life, you find a little bit of good. It must suck to be so hateful.

Hate is a way to self-destruction - It is no solution for anything, but a recipe of going to nowhere.
You have to overcome your feelings of hate, otherwise you will harm yourself.

I don't know what made this man so hateful, something terrible happened to him in his past.

Don't ask me what people did to me, I also should hate them. But... to forget about your past is impossible, to forgive is difficult, but you have to overcome your hate or you have no future.

If people you hate are living next to you the best is - if you can do it - refuse any contact with them, move away, start a new life somewhere else with entire new people. Never look back. Time and distance are healing, despite scars will remain.

That's all I can say about - out of my own experience...

The usual bullshit female shaming language we are all familiar with.

Pointing out a historical fact means you are unhappy? On the subject of the veracity of your grandmother's claim, just as you can't swing a dead cat without hitting some Jew who claims to have miraculously survived being gassed a dozen times during the holohoax, does it not seem a little implausible that you also can't swing a dead cat without hitting someone who claims to have kept a collection of Jews in his or her attic?

No, your hateful language (especially toward women) screams that you are unhappy.
I hope you have a wonderful night, sir.

Well, I suppose I can get behind that.
As long as there is no discrimination, ha.

Do you go to Poland ? My dad travels the world and he loves Poland. He claims the people their are real.

I know most of the Polish in Poland hate Jews or so it would seem from the ones I have talked too, they told me they rip everybody off everywhere they go.

I've been back a few times, but the last decade and a half has been spent in either Illinois or NC, with side trips to Texas.
I actually don't know any of "my" people who hate the Jews, but I'm sure there are some. Everybody can't like everybody else all the time.
Your Dad is super lucky to travel the world.
And yes, the Polish people are real. Brutally, brutally honest, but I love 'em.

I think primarily the Zionist Jews, I knew a few different older families who were transplants from Poland to America and the older ones who were born in the earlier part of the 19th century in Poland and were the heads of the families really had a dislike for them and I asked why and I was told they ripped there people off bad but this is just what I was told so I did not think much of it until I got on the net later in life and started studying who runs the world and how they do it and then I was like OK now I may be able to see why all the hate...

He has been traveling the world the last 30 years my father that is and he does not at all like how most of it has changed over the last 20 or so years, he is going to Japan as I write this....
